Doctors' responses

Your symptoms suggest Kapha-Vata imbalance with Vishama Agni/Mandagni, intestinal ama formation and chronic irritation of guda leading to fissure. Frequent sticky stools, undigested particles, bloating after meals and night bowel movements indicate impaired digestion rather than simple fissure alone. Take Chitrakadi Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after meals Bilvadi Churna – 1 teaspoon with warm water twice daily before meals Kutaj Ghan Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after meals for sticky frequent stools Avipattikar Churna – 1 teaspoon at bedtime with warm water if straining/hard evacuation present Jatyadi Taila local application over fissure 2–3 times daily Triphala sitz bath with warm water nightly Diet Avoid curd at night, bakery foods, excess tea/coffee, fried food, nonveg heavy meals Avoid overeating at dinner Use warm water only Prefer rice gruel, green gram, thin buttermilk with roasted jeera, cooked vegetables Important: Midnight stools and persistent symptoms for long duration may also need evaluation for IBS, proctitis, infection, malabsorption or inflammatory bowel disease. If bleeding, weight loss, fever or severe pain is present, get stool test and consult a proctologist. Dr Rc ayurvedic surgeon

i had this issue 2-3 years ago, and at that time i got fissure but after diet modification and some ayurvedic medicine like kutjarishta and triphala, haritaki issue was minimal. but one month ago i did paschimottana asana after 10 months and got navel pain. i thought it is navel displacement scenario. but i have done navel setting with an ayurvedic practioner. but still problem persist. and my weight is around 100 kg with potted belly and height of 5’9".

This is more likely due to weak digestion, gas/bloating and abdominal strain from obesity, not true “navel displacement. Avoid Heavy meals Forward bending yoga for some days Fried and junk food Do daily walking and reduce weight gradually. If severe pain, vomiting or swelling near navel occurs, check for hernia with a doctor

Dear sir I wake up in abdominal pain around navel area at night 2 am from last 2 days specially if some heavy meals during the day and have to pass stool to feel relieved but still some pain persists. Sir what I have researched and felt as I have Crohn’s IBD. Kindly suggest.

Your symptoms suggest Mandagni (weak digestion), Ama formation (toxins), and Vata-Pitta imbalance affecting the intestines and anal region. Sticky frequent stools, bloating, indigestion, and chronic fissure are commonly linked with poor gut digestion and irregular bowel movement. Diet & Lifestyle Avoid fried, oily, spicy, bakery, junk food, cold drinks, and late-night eating. Eat simple warm foods like moong dal khichdi, soft rice, cooked vegetables, jeera-ajwain soups. Chew food properly and avoid overeating. Drink warm water throughout the day. Take dinner early and light. Helpful Home Remedies After meals: Take ½ tsp roasted ajwain + pinch of black salt with warm water for bloating. For digestion & sticky stools: Drink jeera-fennel-coriander boiled water twice daily. At bedtime: Take 1 tsp ghee in warm milk or warm water to soften stool and support fissure healing. For Anal Fissure Do warm sitz bath for 10–15 minutes after stool. Apply Jatyadi oil or coconut oil locally for soothing and healing. Avoid straining during bowel movement. Ayurvedic Medicines Kutajghan Vati – helps regulate frequent loose/sticky stools. Avipattikar Churna or mild Triphala at night for digestion and bowel correction. Takra (thin buttermilk) with roasted jeera after lunch improves gut health.

Sir jeera-fennel- coriander water taking time ?? And in place of kutajghanvati can I take kutjarishta?

Morning on empty stomach OR 30 minutes after meals for bloating, gas, and digestion. How much: 1 glass warm water, slowly sip. Usually 1–2 times daily is enough. For preparation: boil 1 tsp each of jeera, saunf, and coriander seeds in 3–4 glasses water and reduce slightly. Regarding Kutajghanvati vs Kutajarishta: Yes, Kutajarishta can be taken instead of Kutajghanvati in many digestive conditions. Kutajarishta is generally milder and better if there is: weak digestion, bloating, mucus/sticky stools, low appetite. Dose: 15–20 ml with equal water after meals, twice daily.

Your symptoms suggest disturbed digestion and intestinal irritation, not necessarily Crohn’s Disease. In Ayurveda, this condition is linked with aggravated Vata-Pitta and weakened digestive fire (Agni). Avoid heavy, oily, spicy, and late-night meals, as they can trigger night-time abdominal pain and bowel urgency. Prefer light warm meals, jeera-fennel water, and Kutajghan Vati for gut support. If symptoms continue or you notice blood in stool, fever, weight loss, or severe pain, then do Endoscopy

sir if i go with the symptoms then there is only pain in navel area. Anal area after passing stool coz of fissure and frequent bowel movement specially after a bit of heavy food and most disturbing part waking up at 2 am with gastric pain around navel area which is somewhat relieved after passing stool.

Warm sitz bath (10–15 min, 2–3 times daily) → instantly relaxes spasm & reduces pain • Keep stool soft at all cost → plenty water + fiber (avoid hard straining completely) • Apply a soothing healing ointment (like jatyadi taila before stool and at bedtime)

Dear Sir please suggest for pain in navel area and urgency to pass stool in the midnight. This is giving me sleepless nights frequently for 1 month.

this looks like gut irritation / Vata imbalance Kutajghan Vati 2 tabs twice daily Hingvashtak Churna ½ tsp after dinner with warm water Light dinner, avoid spicy & late-night food

Hello, In Ayurveda, frequent, sticky stools with undigested food particles (Sama~Mala) and bloating (Anaha) indicate Grahani Roga (altered intestinal motility/malabsorption), primarily caused by Agnimandya (weak digestive fire) and Samana Vata-Pachaka Pitta imbalance. The sticky nature shows accumulated metabolic toxins (Ama). Chronic anal fissures (Parikartika) are secondary to the local irritation of frequent motions and chronic Vata vitiation drying the anal mucosa. To treat this, the strategy focuses on digesting the Ama, regulating bowel motility (Grahani), and healing the local mucosa. Prescription : 1. Dadimastaka Churna Dose: 3 grams (approx. half a teaspoon) twice daily, taken 15 minutes before lunch and dinner with warm water or buttermilk. Action: Rekindles the digestive fire, digests Ama, and binds sticky, frequent stools. 2. Gandharvahasthadi Kwatham Dose: If liquid: 15 ml mixed with 45 ml of lukewarm water. Action: Optimizes Vata movement downward (Anulomana), relieves midnight/early morning urgency, reduces bloating, and ensures soft evacuation to avoid straining the fissure. 3. Dusparshakadi Kwatham Dose: 15 ml with 45 ml of lukewarm water (or 2 tablets) twice daily, around 11 AM and 7 PM. Action: Specifically indicated for Parikartika and Arshas; reduces inflammation, pain, and local congestion in the anal canal. 4. Jatyadi Tailam Dose: For local application. Apply gently inside and around the anal sphincter using a clean fingertip or a sterile cotton applicator 2 to 3 times a day, strictly after passing stools and before bedtime. Action: Promotes rapid healing of the chronic fissure path, lubricates the canal, and relieves burning agony.

Don’t worry. And no need to self reserch for Google. Crohn’s Disease can not diagnose by reserch, without investigations. Just don’t take too heavy meals. Take very light diet dal rice khichdi mung etc. And do some activities on empty stomach. Only eat when you feel hungry. And take medicines properly. It may be overload on GIT due to repeated heavy meals.

dear sir may age 35 and i am obese currently with height of 5’9" have weight of around 100 kg and i have chair job. i eat non veg frequently and stay in haldia west bengal currently for more than 6 years and 9 years in kolkata. i drink 2-3 litres of water. i had frequent stool passing problem ealier but it was very minimal in last 2 year but currently it has increased and facing this problem as one month ago i did paschimottana asana after 10 months and got navel pain. i thought it is navel displacement scenario. but i have done navel setting with an ayurvedic practioner. but still problem persist.

Ok… thanks for the reply … ••In Ayurveda, chronic anal fissures (Parikartika), frequent sticky stools (Sama Mala), and bloating (Anaha or Adhamana) point toward a primary root cause: Manda Agni (weakened digestive fire) and Ama Dosha (accumulated toxins from undigested food), leading to a combined vitiation of Vata and Pitta Doshas. Phase 1: Correcting Digestion & Elimination (Internal Treatment) The priority is to eliminate the stickiness (Ama) and bloating first. Traditional laxatives like Senna or heavy oils should be avoided initially, as they can worsen the stickiness and bloating. To Digest Ama and Relieve Bloating: Chitrakadi Vati: Excellent for stimulating the Agni (digestive fire) and digesting Ama. Take 1–1-1-1 tablets of Chitrakadi Vati before meals by sucking… To Clear Sticky Stools Safely: Haritaki tablet : Haritaki is Anulomana (it redirects Vata downward) and gently scrapes away Ama without causing loose stools. Take 0-0-1 with warm water at bedtime. Bilwadi Churna or Kutaj Ghan Vati: If the stickiness is accompanied by frequent, loose, or urgent urges, formulations containing Bilva (Bael) and Kutaj help alter the consistency of the stool and absorb excess moisture and mucus. Phase 2: Local Management of the Chronic Fissure (Parikartika) A chronic fissure often involves a tight internal sphincter muscle. Healing requires reducing local inflammation (Pitta) and softening the sphincter spasm (Vata). ••Sitz Bath (Avagaha Sweda): Sit in a tub of lukewarm water mixed with Panchvalkal Kwath or a few drops of Jatyadi Taila for 10–15 minutes. This relaxes the sphincter muscle, improves blood circulation to the fissure site, and cleanses the area. Local Application: ••Jatyadi Taila or Jatyadi Ghrita: Apply this classical herbo-mineral oil gently into the anal canal using a clean finger or a syringe applicator (without the needle) before and after bowel movements, and at bedtime. It accelerates wound healing and provides a soothing barrier against sticky stools. ••The Power of Takra (Buttermilk): Freshly prepared buttermilk churned with water, with the fat removed, and seasoned with a pinch of roasted cumin powder and rock salt is considered Amrita (nectar) for Grahani (malabsorption/sticky stool issues). It is Grahahi (absorbent) yet Deepana (digestive). ••Hydration: Sip on lukewarm water throughout the day. Avoid ice-cold water, as it instantly dampens the digestive fire. Avoid:-Spicy food: Capsaicin is not fully digested and can cause a severe burning sensation when passing through a fresh fissure. ••Deep-fried/Junk food: These lack fiber and slow down gut motility. ••Sharp, undigested particles: Foods like nuts, seeds, chips, or popcorn can leave sharp fragments in the stool that physically scratch the canal. Do:- Increase Soluble Fiber Gradually: Aim for 25–35 grams of fiber daily. Focus on whole grains, oats, lentils, fruits (like prunes, apples, and pears), and vegetables.

Any more doubts you can ask me…?

Sir I have also mentioned about one more condition of navel pain after paschimottan asana which I did after a gap of 9-10 month of any form of exercise. As doctor sid there is no hernia as doctor has checked but one month ago when this navel pain started as I sleep and work mostly in air conditioners so when this pain started it was around 2 am like something passing near navel area and felt relieved after passing stool and then this problem continued for some days gas, heaviness in chest during noon time and then bloating after eating lunch etc, somedays ok and then on the day I ate bit fatty foods , stool passing used to increase. And same thing happening still bloating after lunch and dinner and if ate heavy foods then passing stool at 2 am night and frequently in the morning.

Based on your description, this appears to be pain caused solely by gas. Whenever you consume oily or heavy foods, they do not digest properly, and this leads to pain in the area surrounding your navel. To address this, I am prescribing the following medication to improve your digestion: 1. Chitrakadi Vati: Take 1 tablet, 4 times a day; these tablets should be sucked rather than swallowed whole. 2. Lasunadi Vati: Take 1 tablet in the morning and 1 in the evening (1-0-1). This medication will also help alleviate bloating and assist with fissures. ••Please take these medicines, and then follow up with me after 7 days.

Lasunadi vati after food or before food and sir I have eczema also near my left ankle joint for 1 year

Lasunadi vati after food with normal water 1-0-1 First start this treatment too much tablet than shift on eczema… For eczema u can take now Gandhak rasayan 1-0-1 after food with normal water. But my opinion first resolve digestion and fissure problem…then move other problems because too much medicine how to take you…
