Pregnancy at 40 can still be healthy and successful with proper preparation, close monitoring, and Ayurvedic support for strength and balance. From an Ayurveda perspective, focus on Rasayana (rejuvenation), Ojas (vital energy), and Vata balance: • Start pre-conception care (3–6 months) with light detox and nourishing diet • Eat warm, freshly cooked, ghee-rich, easy-to-digest foods to build Ojas • Practice gentle yoga + pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhramari) for stress control • Maintain deep, regular sleep and emotional calmness • Avoid fasting, overexertion, and excessive cold/raw foods Most importantly, at 40, ensure regular antenatal checkups and ultrasound monitoring for safety. With the right care, many women have smooth pregnancies even at this age—focus on strength, calm mind, and medical supervision together.
