Your blood pressure readings are fairly controlled, but at 68 years of age, stopping Amlodipine or HCTZ suddenly is not advised. In Ayurveda, the goal is to gradually stabilize Vata-Pitta imbalance, improve vessel elasticity, reduce stress response, and support heart health naturally under supervision. For BP support, you may consider: Tab cardimap – 1 tablet twice daily after meals with lukewarm water (monitor BP regularly). Arjuna Capsule / Arjunarishta helps strengthen the heart and circulation. Morning: 1 tsp Amla juice + warm water helps cooling and vascular health. Reduce excess salt, packaged foods, tea/coffee, late-night meals, and mental stress. Daily 30–40 min walking, deep breathing, Anulom-Vilom, and proper sleep are very beneficial. Your navel hernia appears to be a reducible umbilical hernia. Ayurveda can help slow progression and reduce pressure, but a permanent structural cure without surgery is difficult once the abdominal wall has weakened. To manage naturally: Avoid constipation, heavy lifting, overeating, gas-forming foods, and sudden abdominal strain. Eat small frequent meals and keep digestion light. Use a soft hernia belt/support belt during daytime activity. Helpful Ayurvedic support: Triphala at bedtime for smooth bowel movement. Abhayarishta after meals if constipation/gas is present. Gentle abdominal oil application with warm Mahanarayan oil may help local muscle tone.

Hello, From an Ayurvedic perspective, high blood pressure (Vyanavata Dushti) is an imbalance in the circulating prana, often aggravated by day-to-day activity (pitta and vata). An umbilical hernia (Nabhi Roga / Antra Vriddhi) indicates weakness in the abdominal muscle wall (mamsa dhatu agni mandya), allowing the underlying tissue to protrude. Given your age and current prescription, any transition away from conventional medicine must be managed carefully, gradually, and only under the direct supervision of your prescribing physician to avoid dangerous rebound hypertension. Prescription : For Blood Pressure Management 1. Cardospa Tablet View: Contains Sarpagandha and Arjuna to naturally calm the nervous system, improve cardiac output, and regulate arterial pressure during daily activity. Dose: 1 tablet twice daily, after food, or as directed by an Ayurvedic Physician. 2. Arjunarishtam View: A traditional fermented preparation that strengthens cardiac muscles and helps maintain vascular elasticity. Dose: 15 ml mixed with an equal quantity (15 ml) of lukewarm water, twice daily after meals. For Abdominal Wall Support & Digestion (Hernia Management) Crucial Medical Note: An umbilical hernia is a structural, physical defect in the abdominal wall. There is no Ayurvedic medicine or natural remedy that can anatomically repair or “cure” a hernia defect. Conservative management focuses purely on preventing increased intra-abdominal pressure. 1. Chiruvilwadi Kashayam View: Reduces internal abdominal gas, prevents chronic constipation, and improves downward movement of vata (Anulomana), which directly minimizes the strain on your navel. Dose: 15 ml diluted with 45 ml of boiled and cooled water, taken on an empty stomach twice daily (approx. 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner). 2. Sukumaraghrutham View: A medicated ghee that provides internal lubrication, tones abdominal tissues, and prevents the straining that worsens a hernia. Dose: 5 to 10 grams with warm water or warm milk early in the morning on an empty stomach. Wear a properly fitted hernia belt or abdominal binder during the day while active. This provides mechanical support to the navel wall since medicines cannot close the physical gap. Absolutely avoid heavy lifting, strenuous exercise, coughing, or straining during bowel movements, as these can cause the hernia to become trapped or strangulated.
