Dry skin and itchy scalp in thyroid with IBS and high BP usually indicate Vata aggravation with mild Pitta imbalance along with weak digestion and stress. Along with diet and lifestyle correction, you may consider these gentle Ayurvedic medicines: • Triphala Churna – ½ tsp at bedtime with lukewarm water if digestion is sluggish or constipation is present. • Avipattikar Churna – helpful if acidity, heat, or burning sensation is associated with itching. • Mahamanjisthadi Kwath – supports skin purification and reduces itching tendency. • Bhringraj Taila or Neelibhringadi Taila – apply gently on scalp 2–3 times weekly for dryness and itching. • Amla Powder – 1 tsp daily can help nourishment, digestion, and hair-skin health. Diet & care: • Take warm, freshly cooked meals and avoid excessive tea, spicy, dry, and packaged foods. • Add small quantity of cow ghee in meals for internal lubrication. • Continue jeera-saunf-dhaniya water but in moderate quantity only. • Practice stress reduction with pranayama, meditation, and proper sleep. Since you already have thyroid and high BP, medicines should be adjusted according to your current thyroid/BP medications and bowel pattern. Avoid self-taking strong detox or laxative medicines regularly.

Stop jeera-saunf-dhaniya powder for few days. It may be increasing dryness. Morning:Warm water + 1 tsp cow ghee. Medicines Ashwagandha Churna 1/2 tsp twice daily after food. Triphala Churna 1/2 tsp at night. Apply coconut oil on scalp 3 times weekly. Avoid spicy, dry, packaged foods and excess tea/coffee.

Hello As you are already having thryoid imbalance, IBS, and also hight bp your dry skin and itchy scalp is not sometime due to external skin issues This may be due to -Internal Dryness -Stress -Digestive disturbances -Hormonal fluctuations 🔹The jeera -Saunf -Dhaniya is mostly cooling and helps in digestion but in some when taken excessively and continuously can cause further dryness What to do now 🔹Reduce drying measures You reduce your jeera- Saunf -dhaniya mixture for few days Once dryness is reduced do it alternate day Instead of this Try -Warm water or warm water with fennel seeds only 🔹Internal Nourishment -take 1 tsp of ghee daily -Soaked almonds -Coconut water -Warm homemade food -Moong dal -Khichadi -Sesame seeds ❌Avoid -Dry snacks -Tea or coffee -Spicy food items -Processed food 🔹For scalp Apply Eladi kera taila on head 2-3 times before bath This will reduce dryness and itching 🔹Also Itching can be related to thyroid dysfunction Better to check your current thyroid values 🔹Ayurvedic Support Internally start Mahatiktakam ghrita capsule 1 capsule twice daily after food Follow this for 30 days With this complete holistic approach you will definately feel the relief Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

Furthermore, your underlying conditions play a significant role here: ••Thyroid & High BP: Hypothyroidism inherently slows down cellular metabolism (Dhatvagni), leading to systemic dryness, poor circulation, and sluggish skin cell renewal. ••IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome): In Ayurveda, IBS is closely linked to Grahani Dosha, where the Agni (digestive fire) is altered. A disturbed gut cannot properly absorb nutrients or maintain the body’s internal hydration (Snehana), directly reflecting on your skin and scalp health. Here is a holistic Ayurvedic approach to help pacify the aggravated Vata and restore moisture, while keeping your health conditions in mind. 1. Modify Your Morning Routine •The dry powders are likely scraping away too much moisture (Rookshana). We need to shift towards Snehana (oleation/lubrication). Pause the Dry Powders: Stop taking the raw powder mix for a few weeks to see if the dryness subsides. ••Switch to Hima (Cold Infusion): If you still want the digestive benefits of these herbs without the drying bulk, crush 1 teaspoon of whole seeds (equal parts Saunf and Dhaniya) and soak them in a cup of water overnight. Strain and drink the water in the morning. This extraction method is cooling, hydrating, and much less drying. ••Internal Oleation (Abhyantara Snehana): Taking 1 teaspoon of pure Cow’s Ghrit (Ghee) with warm water on an empty stomach in the morning can beautifully pacify Vata, lubricate the gastrointestinal tract (helping IBS), and relieve systemic skin dryness. 2. Scalp & Skin Management (Bahya Snehana) •Since the dryness is external as well, we must address it locally. ••For the Itchy Scalp: Avoid harsh chemical shampoos which strip natural oils. Apply lukewarm Mooradhna/Taila (oil application). Kshirabala Taila or plain Coconut oil infused with Neem can soothe the itchiness and counteract Vata without aggravating the scalp. Apply gently 2–3 times a week an hour before washing. ••For the Body: Implement a daily Abhyanga (self-massage) before your bath using Til Taila (Sesame oil) or Nalpamaradi Taila. Use lukewarm water for bathing, as hot water will worsen the Khushki. 3. Diet and Lifestyle Adjustments Dietary Hydration: Incorporate liquid and unctuous (Snigdha) foods into your meals. Eat warm, freshly cooked food with a little ghee. Avoid dry snacks, deep-fried foods, and excessive astringent or pungent tastes. ••Manage IBS and BP: Ensure you are getting adequate rest. Include soothing foods like buttermilk (taken in the afternoon, seasoned with a pinch of rock salt and roasted cumin) to support your gut flora without drying your system. ••A Professional Note on Safety: Because you are managing Thyroid issues, IBS, and High Blood Pressure, your internal systemic balance requires careful handling. Please do not stop or alter any conventional medications you are taking for your thyroid or blood pressure.
