Mucus in stool with IBS is usually related to irritation of the intestinal lining and incomplete bowel evacuation. Since your stool is hard and mucus appears more in later bowel movements, improving bowel regularity is important. Avoid spicy foods, excessive tea/coffee, and long gaps between meals. Warm water and regular meal timings can help. Kutajghan vati – 2 tablets twice daily after food Bilagyl or Bilwadi churna – 1 teaspoon at bedtime Avipattikar tablet – 1 tablet at bedtime if constipation persists Patankar Pitta Nashak Kada may help if there is associated acidity or excess Pitta, but mucus alone is more likely related to IBS and bowel irritation.
