Hello, The following will help you to address the issue- 1. Lakshadi guggulu 2----0----2 one hour before breakfast and one hour before dinner with medicine no.2. For 45 days. 2. Rasnasapthakam kwatham 20ml—0----20ml+ 80ml of boiled cooled water with medicine no.1 For 60 days. 3. Ellumnishaadi lepa to be applied,once a day to the affected joint by mixing with rice wash water. 40 minutes before taking shower. 4. Murivenna to be applied luke warm to the affected joint once a day.It should be there for an hour. Follow up after 45 days. Take care, Kind regards.

For knee ligament pain at age 50: Yograj Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after meals. Dashmoolarishta 20 ml with equal water twice daily after meals. Mahanarayana Taila gentle local massage 1–2 times daily. Also Avoid excessive stair climbing and squatting. Apply warm fomentation for 10–15 minutes daily.

Ayurvedic Recommendations Mahayograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after meals with warm water. Ashwagandha Churna – 3 grams twice daily with warm milk or water. Apply Mahanarayana Taila or Ksheerabala Taila gently over the knee and follow with mild warm fomentation for 10–15 minutes once daily. Diet & Lifestyle Prefer warm, freshly cooked foods and avoid excessive cold, dry, and processed foods. Continue light walking but avoid squatting, excessive stair climbing, and sudden twisting movements. Do gentle knee stretching exercises and avoid sitting continuously for long periods; take short movement breaks every 30–60 minutes. Maintain adequate hydration and good sleep. Important Since the pain has been present for less than a week, many cases improve with rest and conservative care. However, if you develop swelling, redness, instability of the knee, difficulty walking, or if symptoms persist beyond 2–3 weeks, an orthopedic evaluation may be needed to rule out a ligament injury, meniscal problem, or early osteoarthritis.

Instead, we focus on: ••​Rest (Vishrama): Absolutely restrict heavy weight-bearing, squatting, or sudden twisting of the knee joint. ••​Mild External Application: Instead of deep massage, gently apply warm Murivenna or Mahanarayan Taila over and around the knee joint without applying pressure. ••​Janu Upanaha (Poultice): If there is mild swelling, a warm poultice made with Dashamoola Choorna or Kottamchukkadi Choorna helps relieve acute localized Vata and Kapha stagnation. ​2. Standard Internal Classical Formulations (Therapeutic Range) ••​In a 50-year-old patient, the natural dominance of Vata Dosha is higher (Parihani Kala), making the ligaments (Snayu) more prone to degeneration or slow healing. In clinical practice, we typically consider: ••​Lakshadi Guggulu / Trayodashanga Guggulu: Highly effective for deep tissue, bone, and ligament healing. ••​Standard adult dose: Usually 1 to 2 tablets (250mg–500mg) twice a day. ••​Rasna Saptak Kwath / Maharasnadi Kwath: To pacify the aggravated Vata causing the pain. ••​Standard adult dose: 15ml to 20ml mixed with an equal quantity of warm water, taken after food. ••​Ksheerabala 101 Avartani: For deeper tissue rejuvenation (Rasayana) and to strengthen the ligament fibers. ••​Standard adult dose: 5 to 10 drops with warm milk or warm water. ​3. Red Flags to Watch Out For ​Since this is a recent knee pain, please ensure there are no signs of a severe ligament tear (like the ACL or MCL). If you experience any of the following, an immediate physical examination or an MRI is warranted: ••​An audible “pop” sound at the time of injury. ​The knee completely “giving way” or feeling entirely unstable when trying to stand. ​Severe, sudden swelling (Shopha) within a few hours of the pain starting.
