Dr Harshita Sethi
Experience: | 24 years |
Education: | State Ayurvedic College Lucknow |
Academic degree: | Doctor of Medicine in Ayurveda |
Area of specialization: | I am focused on treating infertility and PCOD through a holistic Ayurvedic lens, looking beyond just hormones to the deeper metabolic and lifestyle imbalances that often gets ignored. Many women come after years of irregular cycles, failed treatments, or confusion about what is really wrong, and we work patiently on restoring ovulation, digestion, and overall reproductive health.
My area of work also includes gut and lifestyle disorders, food allergies, and food intolerances, because disturbed agni and chronic inflammation frequently sits at the root of multiple conditions. When digestion improves, many other symptoms slowly start shifting too, even though progress may feel uneven at times.
I also manage fibromyalgia and thyroid dysfunction, where fatigue, body pain, weight fluctuation, and sleep issues overlap in complex ways. Treatment plans usually involve dietary correction, routine changes, and individualized therapies rather than one single solution. Every person responds diffrently, and that unpredictability is honestly part of clinical reality.
The goal is not just symptom control but improving resilience and long term balance, even if the process feels gradual or a bit frustrating in the begining. |
Achievements: | I am humbled to receive the Atreya Award from the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America, which I see as recognition of sincere clinical work rather than personal success alone. My core approach centers on Nidan, identifying the root cause of disease, because without that long-term healing rarely happens, even if symptoms improve temprorarily.
Chronic conditions often need time, patience, and parallel symptom management with authentic Ayurvedic care as described in classical texts said to originate from Lord Brahma. Sometimes progress feels slow, but treating cause instead of surface imbalance is what truely matters in the end!! |
I am an Ayurvedic physician with around 27 years of hands-on clinical practice in Kayachikitsa, formulation science, and Panchkarma therapies. I completed MD in Kayachikitsa and received traditional gurukul style training under Vaidya Nanak Chand Sharma (RAV Guru), Vd Sukhdev Nangia, and Hakim Baldev, where I assisted in preparing classical as well as customized Ayurvedic medicines by carefully combining herbs according to their guna, virya, and prabhava. That phase really shaped how I look at treatment today, not just textbook but practical wisdom too I also practiced in the UK for about 6 years and was involved in teaching Bhaishjya Kalpana, especially preparation of churna formulations such as Sitopladi, Hingwashtak, and Lavan Bhaskar. Teaching students how medicines are actually made, not only prescribed, was something I enjoyed alot and still do when I get the chance. After returning to India, I established Avedna Ayurveda Panchkarma Clinic in Gurgaon near Delhi. Here I provide therapies like Basti Chikitsa, Yoga Basti, Aasthapana Basti for detoxification, Uttar Basti for infertility management, and various Potli massages for muscular and neurological pain conditions. Many patients come after trying other treatments, sometimes confused or tired, and we try to reset things step by step. My approach focuses strongly on understanding each individual’s Prakriti and the present Vikriti caused by dosha imbalance, diet, environment, and lifestyle factors. Only after this assessment a personalized line of treatment is planned, including dietary guidance and daily rituals. Medicines are used when needed, but the goal is long term balance and prevention, not dependance on drugs alone. Ayurveda, when applied correctly, works in a very logical way, even if it may look slow from outside.
