how to strong hair roots - #36387

Isabella

I am really struggling with my hair lately! I mean, it feels like every time I brush it, more hair comes out than usual. My friend said I should focus on how to strong hair roots because she’s had great results with Ayurvedic methods. I’ve tried some over-the-counter stuff, but nothing seems to work like I want. A little backstory—I've been super stressed at work, and combined with bad eating habits, I think it’s all taken a toll. Sometimes my scalp even feels itchy, which is annoying. I remember reading somewhere about herbal oils or maybe some kind of paste that can help strengthen the hair roots? But like, do I just put it directly on my scalp? The other day I tried coconut oil and left it overnight, but I didn’t see huge improvements. Is there really a way how to strong hair roots using natural ingredients? Also, what do you think about diet? Should I switch to something specific to help? It’s kinda frustrating not knowing what to do, and I really want my hair to be healthy again! Any suggestions would be a lifesaver. Thanks!

Stress and poor diet can indeed affect hair health, causing weakening and hair fall. In Ayurveda, such issues often stem from imbalances in your doshas. Specifically, hair loss can be linked to excess Pitta, which might heat your scalp more, and Vata, leading to dryness. To stronger your hair roots, you’ll need to soothe and balance these.

For starters, incorporate nourishing oils like Bhringraj oil for scalp massages. It’s a potent remedy for hair conditions. Warm the oil slightly, apply it on your scalp with gentle massage using your fingers. Do this a couple of hours before your bath, a few times a week. It helps to penetrate deeply, strengthening hair roots and nourishing the scalp.

Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry) is another excellent Ayurvedic remedy, rich in Vitamin C, it reduces stress-induced hair fall. You can apply amla oil directly to the scalp or consume fresh amla/juice to nourish from within.

Consider Shikakai to wash instead of regular shampoo. It’s natural and not stripping, which helps maintain natural oils necessary for strong hair roots. Use it around twice weekly. Mix it with water before use and apply to damp hair.

Diet-wise, prioritize fresh fruits, green leafy vegetables, nuts like almonds, and seeds like flaxseeds. These provide essential fatty acids and nutrients. Drink plenty of water to keep hydrated. Avoiding hot, spicy, salty, and overly processed foods can aid in cooling down Pitta dosha.

Managing stress is vital—practice relaxation techniques like yoga or meditation regularly to calm your mind and body.

Lastly, if itching persists, Neem can be beneficial. Use a Neem-based oil or paste on your scalp. Still, ensure balance in doshas for overall wellbeing, if symptoms persist or worsen, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized advice.
