WHEN PERIODS DO NOT START NATURALLY AND COME ONLY AFTER TAKING MEDICINE IT USUALLY INDICATES IMBALANCE OF KAPHA AND VATA IN THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM WHICH DISTURBS OVULATION AND CAUSES CYST FORMATION IN PCOS IN MANY GIRLS THE HORMONAL CYCLE DOES NOT BECOME STABLE SO MENSTRUATION OCCURS ONLY WHEN MEDICINES STIMULATE THE UTERUS THE FACT THAT HER PERIODS BECAME REGULAR FOR SIX MONTHS AFTER PANCHAKARMA SHOWS THAT HER BODY CAN RESPOND WELL WHEN THE CHANNELS ARE CLEANSED AND HORMONAL BALANCE IS SUPPORTED BUT WHEN INTERNAL MEDICINES AND PROPER ROUTINE ARE NOT CONTINUED THE IMBALANCE CAN SLOWLY RETURN SHE NEEDS CONTINUOUS SUPPORT TO REGULATE OVARIAN FUNCTION AND MENSTRUAL FLOW KUMARYASAVA FIFTEEN ML WITH EQUAL WATER TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD RAJAHPRAVARTINI VATI ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD AND KANCHANAR GUGGULU TWO TABLETS TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD CAN HELP SUPPORT NATURAL MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND REDUCE CYST TENDENCY SHATAVARI CHURNA HALF TEASPOON WITH WARM MILK AT NIGHT CAN ALSO SUPPORT HORMONAL BALANCE AND REPRODUCTIVE STRENGTH ALONG WITH MEDICINES LIFESTYLE CORRECTION IS VERY IMPORTANT DAILY BRISK WALKING OR YOGA FOR THIRTY TO FORTY MINUTES AVOIDING SUGAR BAKERY ITEMS PACKAGED FOOD AND COLD FOODS TAKING WARM HOME COOKED FOOD MAINTAINING GOOD SLEEP AND REGULAR DAILY ROUTINE HELP IMPROVE METABOLISM AND HORMONAL RHYTHM WITH CONSISTENT AYURVEDIC TREATMENT AND PROPER CARE THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE CAN GRADUALLY BECOME MORE REGULAR OVER TIME AND IF REQUIRED A SHORT COURSE OF PANCHAKARMA AGAIN CAN ALSO SUPPORT LONG TERM BALANCE OF THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM

—Your problem is due to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). In this condition, hormones are slightly imbalanced, so periods may not come naturally and sometimes need medicine to start. Your reports are otherwise normal, which is a good sign. With proper lifestyle changes like regular exercise, healthy diet, weight control, and regular medical follow-up, periods can improve. Treatments like Panchakarma may help temporarily, but long-term lifestyle management is important to keep cycles regular. —Rx: Tab. Rajahpravartini Vati – 2 tab BD after food with lukewarm water × 3 months Tab. Kanchanar Guggulu – 2 tab BD after food × 3 months Ashokarishta – 20 ml with equal water BD after meals Shatavari Churna – 3 gm HS with warm milk —Advice: Daily 30–40 min exercise / yoga Avoid junk food, sugar, bakery items Take high-fiber diet, vegetables, fruits Maintain proper weight and sleep —Follow-up: after 1 month

In Ayurveda, irregular or absent menstruation is described under Artava-kshaya and Anartava, mainly due to Kapha-Avarana of Vata and Agnimandya, which obstructs the normal flow of Artava. “आर्तवक्षये स्त्रीणां यथोचितं न प्रवर्तते । वातकफावृतो मार्गः तदा तस्याः प्रवर्तनम् ॥” When Vata and Kapha obstruct the Artava-vaha srotas, menstruation becomes delayed, scanty, or absent. “आर्तवक्षये अल्पता चिरकालप्रवृत्तिर्वा” (Ashtanga Hridaya) In Artava-kshaya there is scanty or delayed menstruation. Rajahpravartini Vati – 2tab twice daily after food Kanchanar gugulu ds ( avn pharma) – 2 tab twice daily after food Ashokarishta – 15 ml with equal water after meals Kumaryasava – 15 ml with equal water after meals Do nasya with cow ghee 2 drop each nostril 2 times day Dite & yoga: Regular exercise / yoga to reduce Kapha and improve metabolism Avoid sugar, refined flour, junk food and cold foods Warm, light diet helps improve Agni and hormonal balance Since Panchakarma helped earlier, Virechana or Basti therapy under Ayurvedic supervision can also be beneIft. you wish to understand your condition in more details, you can book a personal consultation with me.

It is better to take an Ayurvedic IP management for atleast 21 days considering the duration of symptoms and her age. You may need to take 3/4 course of treatment either in a gap of 6 months or 1 year. Dont need to get panic. Just internal medicines may limit the result it is better to take an IP management from an AYURVEDIC HOSPITAL at your convenience.

Namaste. I understand your concern as a mother, but please don’t worry too much. PCOS is a very common hormonal condition, and many women experience irregular periods because of hormonal imbalance and metabolic factors. Since your daughter did not get her periods naturally from the beginning and they were induced by medicines, it indicates that her hormonal cycle and ovulation are not functioning regularly. Even though reports are normal except for cysts, PCOS can still cause irregular cycles due to hormonal imbalance, insulin resistance, stress, digestion issues, and lifestyle factors. It is a good sign that after Panchakarma her periods became regular for 6 months, which means her body responded positively to detox and hormonal balancing therapies. However, if lifestyle, diet, and metabolism are not continuously supported, the imbalance can return and periods may stop again. In Ayurveda, PCOS management usually focuses on: • Improving metabolism (Agni) and digestion • Balancing hormones naturally • Reducing cyst formation • Regularizing ovulation and menstrual cycle Along with medicines, some lifestyle steps are very important for long-term improvement: • Regular physical activity or yoga (especially for hormonal balance) • Maintaining a healthy weight and metabolism • Avoiding excessive sugar, processed foods, and junk food • Taking a balanced, warm, and easily digestible diet • Managing stress and sleep cycle Since she is also experiencing hair loss or excess hair growth, it indicates androgen imbalance which is commonly seen in PCOS. With proper Personalized shodhan, Ayurvedic medicines, diet regulation, and lifestyle correction, many patients are able to gradually restore a more natural menstrual cycle. For proper guidance, it would be helpful to know detailed history to understand the root cause Based on these details, a more personalized treatment approach can be suggested.

1.Kanchnar guggulu 2 tab twice daily with water after meals 2.Shatavari kalp 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk after meals 3.Nashta pushpantak rasa 1 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Ashokarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals Lifestyle & Routine Adjustments (Critical for Long-Term Results) Since your daughter made no lifestyle changes after Panchakarma, the effect was temporary. Ayurveda emphasizes Nidana Parivarjana (removing root causes). **Dietary Guidance - Avoid junk food, excess dairy, and refined sugar. - Favor warm, freshly cooked meals with spices like cumin, fenugreek, and turmeric. - Include flax seeds, sesame seeds, and leafy greens for hormonal balance. **Daily Routine - Yoga & Pranayama: Surya Namaskar, Baddha Konasana, Kapalabhati, and Anulom-Vilom. - Stress Management: Meditation, regular sleep cycle. - Weight Balance: Even mild exercise helps regulate insulin and hormones.

Hello, If she is on any hormonal pills to regulate periods please stop that now itself. Go for a TSH, LH,FSH, testosterone,CBC,HB, FBS, C peptide and prolactin test if you haven’t done so already. We need to identify which aspect of her hormonal balance is causing this and focus treatment more towards it. Also you mentioned her having cysts. Please share her USG report and any other investigations you have done so far and all the ayurvedic treatments she has done so far. You also need to give me further details of her health like her weight, is there any rapid fluctuations in her weight? Any pigmentation around her neck axillary region etc? Her appetite, energy level, bowel movements etc. also you need to stay dedicated for the treatment process as it will take more than 3 months of ayurvedic medications to stabilize her hormonal balance and another 6 months followups with only rasayana treatments to make sure the results attained will be lasting. The treatment also needs to be done in stages the 1st stage being amapachana i.e to clear any metabolic disturbance that is happening. For this stage to be cleared most effectively all these reports and questions needs to be answered and analysed. Hope you know the importance of exercise in this situation. Consistent exercise is necessary in these conditions. Diet should also be decided after reports are analysed. For now start Hinguvachadi gulika 2tab thrice daily after food mixed with butter milk Varanadi kashayam 15 ml twice daily before food mixed with 60 ml luke warm water Cap brucast O 1 cap at bedtime. Kanchanara guggulu 2 tablet twice daily before food Chandraprabha vati 1 tab twice daily after food. Nashtapuspantaka rasa 1 tab twice daily after food Please note these medicines should only taken till the onset of menstruation. Follow up with reports for further details
