Line of Treatment (Chikitshasutra) Our primary therapeutic goal is Granthi Hara (dissolving the cyst), Lekhana (scraping away the stagnant tissue), Vata-Kapha Shamana, and balancing the Artava Vaha Srotas. Because these cysts often regress spontaneously within 1–2 menstrual cycles, Ayurveda can beautifully assist the body’s natural resorptive mechanisms. Internal Medications (Aushadhi) ••Kanchanar Guggulu: The gold standard Lekhana (scraping) formulation for any pelvic or glandular growth. It specifically targets Kapha-Vata accumulation. ••Dosage: Usually 2 tablets twice a day with warm water after meals. ••Varunadi Kashayam / Sukumaram Kashayam: Excellent for clearing channel obstructions (Srotoshodhana) and regulating ovarian functions. ••Chandraprabha Vati: Helps in regulating the Apana Vayu (the downward-moving energy governing the pelvic organs) and maintains fluid balance in the reproductive system. ••Punarnavadi Mandur: If there is a larger fluid component, Punarnava acts as an excellent systemic diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent to promote resorption. ••Panchakarma & Upakarma (Detoxification) If the cyst doesn’t resolve after a couple of cycles, or if there is associated pain or irregular bleeding, external therapies are highly effective: ••Yoniprakshalana (Vaginal douching): Using decoctions like Triphala Kwath or Dashamoola Kwath to pacify local Vata. Dietary & Lifestyle Modifications (Ahara & Vihara) To prevent further Ama accumulation and balance Kapha: ••Favor: Warm, easily digestible foods, bitter and astringent tastes, spices like ginger, turmeric, and fenugreek (which possess anti-inflammatory and Lekhana properties). ••Avoid: Deep-fried foods, heavy dairy (cheese, paneer), refined sugar, and Abhishyandi foods (curd, heavy meats) that cause channel blockages. ••Exercise: Gentle yoga asanas that stimulate pelvic blood circulation, such as Badhakonasana (Butterfly pose), Bhujangasana (Cobra pose), and Paschimottanasana.
