Kumaryasava is a liquid Ayurvedic medicine used in the treatment of gastritis, urinary tract disorders etc. Kumaryasavam contains 5 – 10 % of self generated alcohol in it. This self generated alcohol and the water present in the product acts as a media to deliver water and alcohol soluble the active herbal components to the body.

Kumaryasava dose:
12 – 24 ml. one or two times a day, usually advised after food.
If needed, it can be mixed with equal quantity of water.
Kumaryasava uses:
Kumaryasav is used in the treatment of abdominal distention, bloating, respiratory conditions like cough, cold, wheezing, piles, vata imbalance diseases and certain neurological conditions.
Traditional uses of Kumaryasav-
Bala, Varna, Agni Deepana – improves strength, skin complexion and digestion power.
Bruhmana – It provides nourishment to the body. Useful in weight gain treatment
Rochana – improves taste, useful in anorexia
Vrushya – acts as aphrodisiac
Paktishoola nivarana – useful in relieving abdominal pain due to gastritis and digestive tract disorders
Udara roga – useful in ascites, constipation
Ugra Kshaya – useful in chronic tubverculosis
Meha – urinary tract disorders, diabetes
Udavarta – bloating
Apasmara – useful in epilepsy treatment
Mutrakruchra – dysuria – difficulty in urination
Apasmruti – useful to improve memory
Shukradosha – useful in improving quality of semen and sperm
Ashmari – useful in urinary calculi (stones)
Krimi – useful in intestinal worm infestation
Raktapitta – useful in bleeding disorders
Kumaryasava side effects:
A very high dose may cause gastric irritation symptoms.
This medicine can only be taken under strict medical supervision
