I am really trying to get my life together lately and focus on my health. I've been reading a lot about different methods for weight loss, and I can't help but wonder, can yoga help weight loss? Last summer I went on a yoga retreat, and I loved it! It felt amazing to connect with my body and focus on my breath, but I didn't notice much change in my weight. I know weight loss isn’t just about the numbers, but still. Fast forward to now, I’ve tried other workout programs and diet plans, but I’m feeling kinda lost. I've heard that yoga can be a great way to build strength and flexibility, plus soothe the mind (which I really need), but whenever I think about it, I find myself questioning—can yoga help weight loss? Like, does it actually burn calories compared to, say, running or HIIT workout? I guess I'm looking for a more holistic approach, and I wanna know if there’s a particular kind of yoga that’s more effective than others for weight loss. Energetic styles like vinyasa or ashtanga? I’ve also been curious about adding weights to my yoga practice. Could that boost the weight loss effects? Would love to hear if anyone has some insights or experiences with this!
