You can make coarse powder of daruharidra and boil in 16 parts of water until it remains 4 parts boil until it makes solid form To this add small amounts of goat milk and trituarate well fir 2 to 3 hrs daily until all milk gets absorbed and it becomes smooth Now 1 part rasanjana and hastidantamashi 1/4 th part mix uniformly in a mortar if required add goats milk
To make Rasanjana using Daru Haridra and mix it with Hastidanta Mashi, follow these detailed steps. Rasanjana is a refined extract used in Ayurveda, that is traditionally prepared from Daru Haridra (Berberis aristata), and sometimes combined with substances like Hastidanta Mashi (burnt ivory carbon), which should be handled very carefully due to it’s potent nature.
Start with Daru Haridra. First, clean the Daru Haridra roots thoroughly to remove dirt or soil residues. Dry them under shade to ensure no moisture is left. Once dried, grind the roots into a fine powder. Take care to ensure uniformity in the powder’s texture. You’ll then need to prepare a decoction from this powder. Place approximately 100 grams of the Daru Haridra powder in a vessel, add about 400 ml of water, and boil it continuously until the volume reduces to one fourth. This concentrates the active components of Daru Haridra in the liquid.
Once the decoction is ready, filter it carefully through a cloth to remove any solid particles. Collect the liquid extract. Continue to heat this filtered liquid on a low flame, stirring it continuously to prevent sticking to the pan. The objective is to evaporate the water content, leaving behind a thick, concentrated pasty form – this is Rasanjana.
Now for mixing with Hastidanta Mashi. Hastidanta Mashi must be prepared with great caution due to it’s potency and usage. It’s usually obtained from the calcination of elephant tusks – ensure its source is ethical and prepared under supervision. Mix a very small amount of Hastidanta Mashi with the prepared Rasanjana, proportion needs to be precise and tailored as per specific health requirement, often not exceeding a pinch.
