I am mainly working on bone n joint issues—like the real deep stuff, not just aches that come n go. I deal a lot with muscle, ligament, tendon-related problems too... things people usually try to ignore until they can't anymore. What I do is blend Ayurvedic line of treatment with a bunch of focused therapies—Panchakarma, Agnikarma and sometimes specific herbs that hit the nerve-root cause, not just the surface. Neuromuscular things like paralysis, sciatica, cervical radiculopathy (even lumbar, which gets tricky!)—these are cases I see a lot. Not gonna lie, some take time. It’s not instant-fix work but when done right, the mobility returns. That’s what drives me. I try to build a plan around the person—not the disease. If a person’s prakriti shows they’ll respond better to snehana before basti, I go that route. If pain flares too fast, I consider leech or agni first. Not one-size-fit-all. Sometimes ppl come after trying everything else, and there’s already damage. But even then, the goal stays same: reduce inflammation, restore movement n help body fix itself naturally. Ayurveda lets me do that without compromising safety or long-term strength. It's not flashy but it's solid—built on consistency and real understanding of how body heals when given time and right direction.
Achievements:
I am someone who likes putting things in writing if it can help others too. Had two of my papers—one got into an international journal n the other a national one—felt good seeing Ayurveda reach wider places. Also did a certified Master Course in Ayurvedic Vat, Asthi & Sandhi Rogas... learned a lot from that. It def gave me sharper grip on handling joint, bone, and neuro cases. That course sorta changed how I look at chronic pain... it’s more layered than what I thot at first.

I am Dr. Gaurav Puri, and I run Rakshanam Healthcare here in Waraseoni, Balaghat.. where the goal’s always been clear—to bring back real healing through Ayurveda, not just patchwork symptom fixing. For over 3 years now, I’ve been working mostly with people struggling with joint issues, bone pain, musculo-neuro stuff that just won’t go away with usual things. Arthritis, frozen shoulder, cervical spondylysis, even muscular dystrophy—these are the things I mostly see. I rely heavliy on Panchakarma and couple of other tried-and-tested methods like Agnikarma (it’s therapeutic cautery, not as scary as it sounds) and Jalaukavacharana (yes, leech therapy—it works wonders when done right). Every case feels different, so I don’t believe in this “one line of treatment for all” kind of thing. I usually start by understanding the patient’s prakriti, see how the imbalance has formed (what we call samprapti), and then go from there. Sometimes it’s slow, I’ll admit. But the idea is to restore long-term balance—not quick fixes that come back in a month. Alongside pain relief, I try and guide folks on diet, habits, even basic daily rhythms to detox and recover from inside-out. Ayurveda isn’t just about herbs or massages, it's a whole thing—it gets into your system and gently rebuilds. At Rakshanam we’ve built this space where therapies are done properly, in clean, calm setting, no gimmicks. I genuinely believe in “Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam” — preserving health is just as important as curing. That one line’s stuck with me frm the beginning. If you’re someone who’s tired of only managing pain, and want a bit more clarity and care in your healing journey, then this is what I do. Not perfect but deeply rooted in what works.
