Dr. Vedika Rotra
Experience: | 6 years |
Education: | Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research |
Academic degree: | Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery |
Area of specialization: | I am an Ayurvedic doctor who really believes that healing should make sense—not just to me but to the patient too. I mostly work with people dealing with women’s health troubles, lifestyle disroders, gut problems like bloating or constipation, pain stuff, anorectal issues too (yeah, piles and fissures aren’t fun but they need care like anything else). I’m trained in the classical texts, but I don’t stick rigidly if something clearly isn't working for someone. My thing is: understand the root cause, not just silence the symptoms and call it a day. I mix up Ayurvedic meds, food tweaks, daily routine changes, and try to explain why it matters—without preaching or overwhelming. I do wish more people knew that even small shifts in lifestyle + herbs can actually be game-changers. I really try to listen closely, because even one tiny clue in what someone says can change how I approach their case. There’s no one-size-fits-all in Ayurveda anyway right? Healing’s kinda a long-haul ride, but I’m right there with my patients thru it. |
Achievements: | I am someone who kinda leans deep into preventive care—I mean, I hold a Certificate in Community Health and one in Gynaecology & Obstetrics too. Both helped shape how I handle real cases, not just theory. It’s not just paper for me, like these trainings really changed how I see reproductive and public health issues—specially through Ayurveda. That mix of clinical + community insight gave me better grip on handling women’s wellness issues & practical public health stuff that shows up every other day |
I am Dr. Vedika Rotra, a dedicated Ayurvedic physician with over five years of clinical experience in both public health and specialized medical care. My journey in Ayurveda has been driven by a deep commitment to holistic healing, patient well-being, and evidence-based practice. In addition to my BAMS degree, I have completed certifications in Community Health and in Gynaecology and Obstetrics, which have further enhanced my ability to address a wide range of health concerns in women’s health and general medicine. My professional background includes five years of service under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Jammu & Kashmir, where I worked extensively with diverse patient populations and gained valuable experience in community-centered Ayurvedic care. Alongside this, I served for two years conducting outpatient services at an Army unit in Jammu, where I had the opportunity to manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions under high-responsibility settings. I bring a patient-focused approach to Ayurveda, aiming not just to treat illness, but to promote preventive health and lifestyle transformation. Whether it is managing gynaecological disorders, lifestyle diseases, or general wellness concerns, I strive to combine classical Ayurvedic wisdom with practical, modern application. I believe in clear communication, compassion, and tailoring every treatment plan to meet the individual needs of each patient. Through continuous learning and real-world experience, I remain committed to delivering ethical, authentic, and result-oriented Ayurvedic care to every individual who trusts me with their health.
