Premature ejaculationand(PE), Erectile Disfunction (ED) - #26712
I have been experiencing premature ejaculation for about 3–4 years. My sex duration is only 10–15 seconds. Since my partner is very understanding, I don’t think I have performance anxiety—there may be some other cause of my PE. I had been masturbating for around 7–8 years, but I stopped about a year ago. Now I only do it 3–4 times a month. Along with this, I also have a problem with erectile dysfunction. I mostly don’t get morning erections—only about 5–10 days a month, and even then the erection is only 50–60%, not full. During sex, I only get 60–80% erection, and during the second round it decreases even more. I don’t have any diseases like diabetes or BP. Please give me a solution for both PE and ED.

For your concerns of Premature Ejaculation (PE) and Erectile Dysfunction (ED), an Ayurvedic approach can be tailored to your physiological constitution, aiming for balance and addressing possible underlying issues. From an Ayurvedic perspective, such sexual health issues often relate to imbalances in the Vata dosha, affecting the body’s ability to sustain reproductive education and function.
Considering your history and symptoms, it is essential to first focus on strengthening ojas — the subtle and refined essence of your body, that supports sexual health and vitality. Begin by incorporating nourishing dietry habits. Favor warm, cooked meals with healthy fats like ghee, milk, and oils. Opt for foods that are grounding such as whole grains (like rice and wheat) and include sweet, salty, and sour tastes, which are grounding and balancing for Vata. Avoid excessively spicy, sour or pungent foods as they aggravate Vata.
Equally crucial is establishing a regular daily routine — maintain a consistent sleeping schedule, going to bed early and rising early in the morning helps stabilize Vata dosha. Incorporating relaxation practices such as meditation, and breathing exercises like Pranayama, especially Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), can help reduce stress levels because stress can exacerbate ED issues.
In terms of herbal support, indulge in Ayurveda’s Rasayana herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari, traditionally known to enhance vitality and virility. Ashwagandha is particularly valued for its adaptogenic properties, assisting in stress management and improving energy levels. You could take Ashwagandha powder, around a teaspoon with warm milk at night.
Physical activity should be gentle yet regular. Include yoga practices focusing on asanas that are grounding — poses like Vajrasana and Malasana are beneficial. These asanas improve circulation and provide the grounding Vata needs.
Daily self-massage or abhyanga, using warm sesame oil or Ashwagandha bala oil, can aid in calming Vata and settling nerves.
Always consult a certified Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any new treatment plan. If symptoms persist, it is advisable to seek further diagnostic evaluation to rule out possible physiological issues that might require immediate attention. Keep in mind that a holistic and consistent approach to these recommendations is key to seeing improvements over time.
Addressing premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction involves understanding your unique condition through a Siddha-Ayurvedic lens, which focuses on balancing the doshas and enhancing vitality. From your description, it seems there’s an imbalance, likely involving Vata dosha, affecting Prana Vayu and Apana Vayu, two energies crucial for control and circulation in intimate functions.
First, consider dietary influences. Focus on foods that nourish the sapta dhatus (seven tissues, especially shukra dhatu, which pertains to reproductive health). Include ghee, sesame oil, almonds, and dates in your diet, as they are known to bolster reproductive tissue and enhance vitality. Avoid excessively spicy, processed, or fried foods as these may disrupt your digestive fire or Agni, potentially exacerbating imbalances.
Herbal support can be helpful. Ashwagandha is particularly beneficial for general strengthening and stress reduction, consequently aiding in sustaining erections and regulating ejaculation timing. Begin with a moderate dosage of 500-1000mg daily, monitoring how you feel, adjusting as needed.
Incorporate specific practices like Vajikarana therapy, which aims at rejuvenation. It might include herbal formulations, yoga, meditation, and pranayama. Asanas like Siddhasana, Vajrasana, and Ashwini Mudra enhance pelvic control and energy flow. Practice pranayama like Anulom Vilom to calm the mind and body, promoting a balanced circulatory response.
Since these concerns are multifaceted, consider a consultation with a skilled practitioner familiar with your prakriti and current lifestyle, emphasizing a thorough examination to exclude any physiological causes. Immediate medical attention is cruciality if your symptoms worsen or affect your quality of life significantly. As always, integrating this with modern medical check-ups ensures a holistic approach, prioritizing your health. Remember, addressing root causes can take time, so patience alongside committed practice often yields beneficial results.
