Struggling with Overactive Bladder and High Blood Pressure - #37148

Client_d25180

I can't hold my urine for very long, and when I do go, it's only a little bit that comes out at a time. I get up very frequently during the course of the night because I'm awakened by my overactive bladder. During the course of the day, I'm constantly looking for the nearest bathroom cuz. I don't want to embarrass myself. Please share with me how to cure High Blood Pressure as well with an overly active bladder, holistically, naturally. Thank You In Advance. God 🙏🏿 Bless..

For managing an overactive bladder with Ayurvedic principles, it’s important to focus on pacifying Vata dosha, as its imbalance can often lead to frequency and urgency of urination. Start by incorporating warm and cooked foods that are easy to digest into your meals. Avoid cold, dry, and raw foods as much as possible, you might find relief by including ghee, sesame oil and use spices like turmeric, cumin, and fennel which can help balance Vata. Practicing calming yoga, or gentle stretching exercises in the evening might support relaxation and potentially improve bladder control.

About high blood pressure, Ayurveda suggests balancing both Pitta and Kapha doshas. Reducing excessive salt and spicy foods is critical; instead, focus more on fresh fruits and vegetables, especially those rich in potassium. Foods like celery, bananas, and cucumbers may help manage blood pressure naturally. Meditation and deep breathing exercises can be beneficial to reduce stress, which often aggravates blood pressure.

More practically, ensure you stay hydrated, drink water in sips throughout the day, but try to avoid large quantities of fluids late in the evening to manage nocturnal urination. Ayurvedic herbs like Punarnava, Gokshura and Shatavari can support urinary health. Before trying herbal treatments, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner is advised, especially if you’re taking medicine for other ailments. Always note that herbal remedies take time and consistent effort to show effects.

In both conditions, maintaining a regular daily routine helps honor the body’s natural rhythms, something Ayurveda greatly values. While these measures can offer support, it’s vital to collaborate with healthcare professionals for routine check-ups to monitor and manage both conditions effectively.
