Frothy urine in a person with 15 years of diabetes and hypertension is something that should be evaluated carefully because it can be an early sign of protein leakage in urine (proteinuria) or diabetic kidney disease. Slow urine flow may also be due to prostate enlargement (if male), urinary obstruction, or kidney-related issues. ----Since you mentioned that you have a report, please upload the report (photos or PDF) so I can review the values and give more specific guidance. ----Meanwhile, I would recommend checking whether these tests are available in your recent reports: -Urine Routine & Microscopy -Urine Albumin/Creatinine Ratio (ACR) or -Microalbuminuria -Serum Creatinine -Blood Urea -eGFR (kidney function) -HbA1c -Lipid Profile -Blood Pressure readings -----Diet recommendations Reduce sugar, sweets, fruit juices, and refined carbohydrates. Limit excess salt (<5 g/day). Avoid fried foods, bakery items, and trans fats. Include vegetables, salads, pulses, and adequate water (unless current doctor has advised fluid restriction). Avoid smoking and alcohol. —rx 1) Chandraprabha Vati 2 tablets twice daily after food with lukewarm water. 2. Gokshuradi Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food. 3. Varunadi Kashayam 15 ml + 45 ml warm water twice daily before meals. 4. Nishamalaki Churna 3 g twice daily before meals with lukewarm water. 5. Triphala Churna 3 g at bedtime with warm water.
As you have been suffering from diabetes and hypertension for the last 15 years, the symptoms of frothy urine, slow urine flow, and elevated lipid profile should not be ignored. In Ayurveda, this condition can be correlated with Madhumeha affecting the Mutravaha Srotas (urinary channels) and Meda Dhatu (fat metabolism). Frothy urine may indicate the presence of excess protein in the urine, which can occur when long-standing diabetes affects kidney function. Therefore, along with Ayurvedic management, it is important to monitor kidney health regularly. Ayurvedic Recommendations: Follow a low-carbohydrate, diabetic-friendly diet and avoid sweets, refined flour, sugary drinks, and processed foods. Include barley (Yava), green vegetables, bitter gourd (Karela), fenugreek (Methi), bottle gourd, and whole grains in your daily diet. Avoid oily, fried, and high-fat foods to help control lipid levels. Drink adequate water and maintain regular physical activity such as brisk walking for 30–45 minutes daily. Maintain proper blood sugar and blood pressure control as advised by your physician. Common Ayurvedic medicines that may be beneficial include Chandraprabha Vati, Gokshuradi Guggulu, Nishamalaki, and Varunadi Kashayam. I would also recommend reviewing your recent reports, especially: Urine routine examination Urine microalbumin/protein Kidney function tests (Serum Creatinine, eGFR) HbA1c Lipid profile Please share your reports if available, so a more specific opinion can be given.
