*Understanding the Symptoms The “bladder hyper-awareness” and frequent urination suggest an aggravated Apana Vayu—the sub-type of Vata that governs the pelvic region. When this Vayu is disturbed, the bladder muscles become overactive and sensitive. I have prescribed medications for you take them consistently . *The “Prostate-Friendly” Diet Since you’ve been sedentary and have moderate stress, the goal is an Anti-Inflammatory diet. *What to Eat :-✅ • Water-Rich Vegetables: Gourd family (Lauki, Turai, Parwal) are excellent. They are cooling and cleanse the bladder. • Boiled Pumpkin Seeds: These are rich in zinc, which is scientifically linked to prostate health. • Barley Water (Yava): Drink this daily. It acts as a natural cleanser for the urinary tract. • Spices: Turmeric (anti-inflammatory), Cumin (digestive), and Coriander (cooling). *What to Avoid ❌ • The “3 C’s”: Caffeine (coffee/tea), Chicken (and other red meats), and Chillies. These irritate the bladder lining. • Alcohol & Smoking: These significantly increase bladder sensitivity. • Sour Foods: Avoid curd, pickles, and fermented foods as they can aggravate inflammation (Pitta). *Lifestyle & Workout Plan Since you are currently sedentary, sudden heavy lifting can actually worsen prostatitis by increasing pelvic floor tension. • Pelvic Floor Relaxation (Reverse Kegels): Instead of squeezing, practice “dropping” or relaxing the pelvic muscles as if you are starting to urinate. This reduces “hyper-awareness.” • Walking: 30 minutes of brisk walking improves blood circulation to the pelvic organs. • Yoga Asanas: • Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose): Opens the pelvic region. • Dhanurasana (Bow Pose): Strengthens the lower back and abdomen. • Vajrasana: Sit in this pose for 5-10 minutes after meals to improve digestion and pelvic nerve health.
