For urinary tract infection (UTI) and cystitis, Ayurveda emphasizes balancing the Pitta Dosha and cooling the urinary system. Consuming barley water can be beneficial; boil a tablespoon of fennel seeds in water and consume it throughout the day. Regularly drink coconut water as it’s soothing and has diuretic properties. Ayurvedic herbs like Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris), often taken in powdered form, can be supportive. Mix 1 teaspoon with warm water twice daily under supervision. Chandraprabha Vati, taken 2 tablets twice daily after meals, may aid too.

For digestive issues, strengthening Agni (digestive fire) is crucial. Start meal times with a small piece of ginger and a pinch of rock salt. Prepare CCF tea using cumin, coriander, and fennel seeds: 1/2 tsp each in hot water. This can aid digestion and reduce gas. Drink this tea after meals. Supplement it with Triphala; take 1 tsp with warm water at bedtime for digestive relief and to help with constipation. Pudina or peppermint can also be chewed or taken as herbal tea to ease acidity and bloating.

Consider lifestyle adjustments such as not eating heavy meals late in the evening and avoiding spicy or oily foods. Include easily digestible foods such as rice, and boiled vegetables in your meals. Hydration is essential: aim to drink at least 2-3 liters of water daily, avoiding excessive caffeine or alcohol. Physical activity, even gentle daily yoga, can assist in keeping the digestive systems running smoothly.

Consult with an Ayurvedic physician to individuate the regimen based on your unique constitution and any concurrent therapies you’re undergoing. If symptoms are severe or worsening, pursuing urgent medical consultation is advised to prevent complications.
