Burning sensation in anus and constipation could be linked to various factors, including dietary habits and lifestyle imbalances. According to Ayurveda, this might be due to an aggravation of Pitta dosha, often associated with acidity and inflammation.

To begin addressing this, first consider dietary changes to pacify Pitta. Avoid spicy, oily, and acidic foods. Instead, incorporate cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, and fresh coconut water into your diet. Drinking buttermilk with a pinch of roasted cumin powder can also be beneficial in balancing Pitta.

Triphala, a well-known Ayurvedic formulation, can be quite effective both for constipation and for reducing Pitta-related issues. You can take a tablespoon of Triphala powder mixed with warm water at night before bed. It aids in regular bowel movements and can soothe the burning sensation.

Furthermore, Ayurvedic medicines such as Avipattikar Churna could also help. It provides relief by improving digestion and bowel regulation. Take half a teaspoon mixed with warm water, preferably before meals, but consult to an Ayurvedic practitioner.

Ensure you’re hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day, as dehydration can worsen constipation. Adding a little honey with warm water in the morning can also improve bowel movements.

Ghee is another great remedy—mix a teaspoon in a cup of warm milk at night. This not only acts as a mild laxative but also nourishes your digestive tract. Practice yoga asanas like Pawanmuktasana and Ardha Matsyendrasana can improve digestion and relieve constipation.

Consistent follow-up with an Ayurvedic doctor is recommended for personalized treatment to balance your doshas and ensure sustained relief. It’s important to rule out any other serious underlying conditions with a healthcare professional to ensure your well-being.
