Hepatitis C is a condition which can stay in the body silently for many years without giving clear symptoms so even if you feel normal it still needs proper confirmation through testing at the same time it should not be assumed only based on someone’s opinion so first step is to confirm with Anti HCV antibody test and if needed HCV RNA test to know whether it is active From an Ayurvedic understanding this condition relates to yakrit dushti where liver function is disturbed along with rakta dhatu involvement and pitta imbalance because liver is a major seat of pitta over time if toxins accumulate due to past habits or improper metabolism it leads to a state similar to ama and rakta dushti Right now your body is already in a detox phase so it is very important not to overdo cleansing because excessive detox can weaken agni and disturb vata instead we focus on gentle correction and support You can consider Heposem tablet one tablet twice daily after food with warm water to support liver function Amrutha aristha fifteen ml with equal quantity of water twice daily after food helps in improving metabolism immunity and gentle detox Indukantha gritham half teaspoon at bedtime with warm water or warm milk supports digestion strength and helps in balancing vata and pitta Food should be simple warm and easy to digest avoid fried spicy sour fermented and packaged foods include rice moong dal cooked vegetables a little ghee pomegranate coconut water and maintain good hydration Avoid alcohol completely and avoid taking multiple strong detox products at the same time your liver needs gentle consistent support Also maintain hygiene do not share razors toothbrush or any items that may carry blood Most important do not panic even if it is confirmed this condition is manageable and in many cases curable with proper medical treatment Ayurveda will support your liver and overall strength but proper testing and guidance is essential

For Hepatitis C Ayurveda treatment should not replace modern Direct-Acting Antivirals , which are highly effective at clearing the virus. Ayurveda is best used as a complementary approach to improve quality of life and support. Start with Heposem syrup 10ml -0-10ml after food with water Thiktakam Kwath tablet 1-0-1 after food with water Do pranayam lom -vilom kapalbhatti bhastrika daily for 5-10mins. Avoid fast foods, fatty foods. Have lauki - 200ml. / Cucumber juice/ tomatoes juice/ carrot juice/ Amla 10- 15 ml. / Aloevera juice 10ml, any one juice everyday before breakfast.

Hepatitis C can stay in the body without showing any symptoms for a long time, but it can still slowly damage the liver. So even if you feel completely normal, it is important to take it seriously and manage it properly. First, you should confirm the condition with proper tests like HCV RNA (viral load) and liver function tests (LFT). After that, consult a liver specialist. Hepatitis C is now treatable and in most cases completely curable with modern medicines taken for a few months, so do not delay this step. Avoid alcohol, drugs, and unnecessary supplements completely, as they can put extra load on the liver. Continue eating simple, clean home food like dal, rice, vegetables, and fruits. Avoid oily, fried, and processed foods. Keep yourself well hydrated and maintain a regular sleep routine. As supportive care, you can take Guduchi satva 500 mg twice daily, Bhumyamalaki churna 3 grams twice daily, and Arogyavardhini vati 1 tablet twice daily after food. These help support liver function, but they do not replace antiviral treatment. Even without symptoms, the virus is active, so early treatment is very important to prevent long-term damage. It is good that you have stopped drugs, continue that strictly. For proper guidance and safe combination of treatment, you can consult me.

Sometimes an initial “viral marker” test only shows exposure, not active infection. You should get these tests done: HCV RNA (Viral Load test) → confirms if the virus is actually active in your blood Liver Function Test → checks how your liver is working Without the viral load, you cannot decide treatment. Some people clear the virus naturally. 2. No Symptoms ≠ No Problem In Hepatitis C, many people feel completely fine for years. But silently it can: Damage liver slowly Lead to fibrosis/cirrhosis over time So even if you feel active and healthy, you still need evaluation and treatment if RNA is positive. 3. Treatment is Simple & Highly Effective Now Modern medicines (called Direct-Acting Antivirals) can: Cure >95% cases Take only 8–12 weeks Have very few side effects 4. About Drug Use (Very Important) Even if you did not use injections, Hepatitis C can spread through: Shared razors or blades Blood contact (even small unnoticed exposure) Unsterile equipment during drug use Since you recently detoxed: Do not go back to drug use (very high reinfection risk) Avoid sharing any personal items 5. Lifestyle for Liver Protection You are already doing well with diet — continue that. Add: No alcohol at all Avoid unnecessary supplements/herbal meds without guidance Plenty of water Balanced diet (fruits, vegetables, protein) Regular sleep

✓Get these tests done: HCV RNA Quantitative (viral load) Genotype Liver function tests (LFT) FibroScan or ultrasound (to check liver damage/fibrosis) ✓Modern treatment is highly effective Direct Acting Antivirals (DAAs) can cure Hepatitis C in 95–99% cases in just 8–12 weeks. Treatment is usually safe, oral tablets and well-tolerated. Start treatment as soon as possible to protect your liver. ✓Lifestyle right now completely stop all drugs, alcohol, and smoking. Continue your balanced diet and active lifestyle. drink 3–3.5 litres water daily. avoid unnecessary medicines and herbal products without doctor advice. ✓get vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B if not already immune. ✓do not rely only on detox guide or self-treatment. Hepatitis C needs proper medical management. Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma
