9-year-old with recurring hallucinations needs prompt evaluation by a child psychiatrist or pediatrician. Hallucinations in children can come from stress/trauma, sleep deprivation, anxiety, seizures, migraines, infections, or mental health conditions even when basic tests are normal. What to do now Restart/continue talk therapy as soon as possible. Consult the doctor who prescribed Risperidone before restarting or changing the dose. Do not adjust 2 mg on your own. Ensure good sleep, reduce screen exposure, and avoid frightening content. Calmly ask what the child is seeing/hearing; don’t argue that it’s “not real.” Keep a diary of episodes: time, triggers, sleep, fever, stress. Simple supportive Ayurvedic options (only with doctor approval) Brahmi syrup 5 ml twice daily after food. Saraswatarishta 5 ml with equal water after food once/twice daily (if advised by an Ayurvedic pediatrician). Avoid strong Ayurvedic sedatives or metals in children without supervision. Go to emergency care immediately if she: tries to harm herself/others, becomes very agitated/confused, has seizures, stops eating/drinking, hears voices commanding dangerous actions.

I have never stop the risperidone drug, she is still taken them. sometimes she feels better maybe after like two months she will look dull, gentle and her heart beat will be fasting then she will start hallucinating. what always trigger the anxiety as I have noticed, whenever she has high fever, headache or malaria.

1.Brahmi syrup 5 ml twice daily after meals 2.Kumar kalayan ras 1 tab once daily with honey or ghee 3.Saraswatarishta 10 ml with 10 ml water twice daily after meals 4.Ksheerbala taila - 2 drops in each nostril once in the morning Lifestyle and Environment -Sleep Hygiene: Ensure she gets 9–11 hours of quality sleep. Lack of sleep is a major trigger for hallucinations. -Reduce Screen Time: Limit exposure to screens, especially before bed, and avoid any frightening or high-stimulation content. -Abhyanga: A gentle head massage with Brahmi Oil or coconut oil before bed can help provide a sense of security and calm. -Restart Talk Therapy: Since talk therapy previously helped, it is highly recommended to resume sessions as soon as possible. -Supportive Communication: Calmly ask her what she is seeing or hearing without arguing that it isn’t “real.” Keep a diary of these episodes, noting the time, potential triggers, and her sleep patterns.

hello, it quite a distressing situation for the child and you. but you will need to revisit the child psychologist you were consulting before. the psychologist might advise to redo some previous test, because hallucinations in a child is a very complex situation and will need very structured approach. since talk therapy was helpful before consider restarting it. also please maintain a symptom log like when did the hallucinations start? how long does it last?what was the specific sutuations before it happened and what did she say she was seeing or hearing. talk to your child but dont pressure her. consult a neurologist if you must abnd especially if the episodes of hallucinations leaves your daughter distressed or agressive. try to maintain routines and avoid over focusing on her symptoms, allow the childs hobbies and other intersets to come to focus. coming to the ayurvedic perspective start with external treatments for now. use brahmi taila for head massage and leave the oil on head for a couple of minutes similarly do foot massages. 2 drops of ksheerabala 101 a in each nostril in morning will also be beneficial , keep her diet really clean i.e fresh, warm easily digestable

Hello, This is not a situation to manage only with home remedies or Ayurveda alone A 9 year old with recurring hallucinations needs careful medical supervision First- Important understanding Hallucination in children can be due to -psychological stress/ anxiety -sleep distubances -early psychiatric conditions -neurological causes (even if initial tests are normal) That fact that -it improved with talk therapy -now reappearing means the root cause is still active and needs reassessment What you should Do Now 1) Revist specialist (very important) -consult a child psychiatrist/ pediatric neurologist -do not restart or stop medicines like Risperiodone on your own Dose like 2 mg is significant for a child-> must be supervised 2) Restart psychological therapy -Since it worked earlier-> this is a keyy treatment -continue regular sessions not stop early 3) Observe and track symptoms Note -when hallucianation occur (time, trigger) -sleep pattern -any stress/fear/trauma -screen exposure Ayurvedic management For mind calmness -Brahmi syrup= 5 ml twice daily after meals =supports memory and calming For sleep and anxiety -Ksheerbala taila= gentle head massage at night =calms nervous system Routine very important -fixed sleep time before 10 pm -no scrrens 1-2 hours before bed -calm environment Avoid self medicating with strong Ayurvedic or psychiatric drugs Ignoring recurrence Assuming tests are normal= nothing serious Immediate doctor visit -hallucination increasing in freqeuncy -child talking to unseen things often -fear, aggression, or withdrawal -sleep disturbance worsening This condition is treatable and manageable, especially since It responded to therapy before Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
