लगातार हकलाना अधिकतर मानसिक दबाव, डर, चिंता (Anxiety) और वात दोष बढ़ने से जुड़ा माना जाता है। क्योंकि आप बुक पढ़ते समय नहीं हकलाते, इसका मतलब आपकी आवाज़ और बोलने की क्षमता सामान्य है, लेकिन बातचीत के समय मन पर दबाव आने से शब्द अटक जाते हैं। यह समस्या धीरे-धीेरे सही हो सकती है। आयुर्वेद अनुसार कारण बढ़ा हुआ वात दोष अधिक सोच, तनाव, डर आत्मविश्वास कम होना जल्दी-जल्दी बोलने की आदत नींद पूरी न होना आयुर्वेदिक उपाय रोज सुबह 1 चम्मच घी गुनगुने दूध के साथ लें। ब्राह्मी, शंखपुष्पी, अश्वगंधा मानसिक शांति व आत्मविश्वास बढ़ाने में सहायक होती हैं। प्रतिदिन ओम् मंत्र, अनुलोम-विलोम और भ्रामरी प्राणायाम 10–15 मिनट करें। धीरे-धीरे और आराम से बोलने की प्रैक्टिस करें। मोबाइल व तनाव कम रखें, पर्याप्त नींद लें। क्या ध्यान रखें कठिन शब्द बोलने से पहले थोड़ा रुककर बोलें। खुद को शर्मिंदा महसूस न करें, यह बहुत लोगों में तनाव के कारण होता है। परिवार या दोस्तों के साथ रोज जोर से पढ़ने और बातचीत की प्रैक्टिस करें।
