In Ayurveda ATISAR (diarrhoea) and PRAVAHIKA (Commonly termed dysentery) are considered inter-related conditions. Atisar is a disease wherein watery stools are passed; the Api or “Jal Dhatu” diminishes the JATHARAGNI” (digestive fire) and gets activated by vitiated Doshas and passes out as watery stools.
Pravahika is a related condition in which stools pass in a lesser amount along with mucus (sometimes with blood also) but with increased frequency. Imbalanced Vata and Pitta doshas are the major causative factors.
Grahni is a letter stage of Atisar and Pravahika and may develop as an independent disease by itself. Several internal “KRIMIS” ( intestinal parasites / worms ) often complicate the condition where stools mixed with mucus, blood, foul smell, whitish froth is formed and is referred as “Krimij Grahni".
The various herbal ingredients in the formulation pacify and harmonise vitiated Doshas; correct disturbed Dhatus, tone up Agni, normalize functioning of digestive system and counteract parasite infection.

Bombax malabaricum (Mocharas) - 25 mg
Hordeum vulgare (Yavkshar) - 15 mg
