Hand finger joints stiffness, she can't bend her fingers full, pains when we tell her to bend her fingers , RA negative but ESR is high for 7 years old ...can u help with any remedy pls...how to reduce inflammation in the body and decrease ESR

When dealing with stiffness in the finger joints of a young child, especially when rheumatoid arthritis tests are negative but the ESR is high, an Ayurveda approach can be quite helpful. This situation often points towards an imbalance, possibly in Vata dosha, which governs movement and space within the body.

To reduce inflammation and lower ESR, you can start with modifying the diet. Include more naturally anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric (haldi), which can be added to milk for a soothing bedtime drink. Ginger also works wonders; you could use ginger tea by boiling a few slices in water. Make sure she stays hydrated with warm water throughout the day, which helps in maintaining good circulation and flushing out toxins.

Next, massaging her fingers and hands gently with warm sesame oil can improve flexibility. Doing this twice daily, perhaps before her bath and bedtime, may not only provide relief but also improve circulation and reduce stiffness over time.

Encourage her to do mild hand exercises, like making a fist and then stretching her fingers out wide, repeating this gently a few times. A warm compress, applied with a cloth soaked in warm water and wrung out, can be soothing, particularly when swelling or stiffness is pronounced.

Ensure she avoids cold drinks and cold environments, as these can increase Vata imbalance. Serve warm, well-cooked meals with adequate moisture, like soups and stews.

For stronger intervention, consulting a local Ayurvedic professional for personalized evaluation might be a wise move. They may suggest specific herbs such as Guggulu or Ashwagandha, known for their anti-inflammatory properties and ability to balance Vata. Remember, balance is key in Ayurveda, maintaining her digestive fire, or Agni, in equilibrium with easily digestible foods can support her healing process.

While these steps can be beneficial, it’s crucial to monitor her condition closely, completing regular check-ups, and working with her doctor to ensure no further underlying issues need addressing.
