A high white blood cell (WBC) count indicates body is responding to some form of stress, possibly due to an infection or injury. In Ayurveda, we focus on imbalances in doshas and dhatus. The leukocytosis and inflammation might suggest an imbalance in Pitta and Vata. This could manifest as excessive heat, dryness, and disturbed nerve functions affecting sensory perceptions.

As you experience numbness and abnormal sensations, immediate medical evaluation is critical to rule out serious causes. If there’s a risk of nerve damage or the current state is substantially affecting your quality of life, do not delay medical attention. Meanwhile, here are some Ayurvedic approaches to consider alongside conventional treatment:

1. Dietary adjustments: Favor foods that soothe Pitta and Vata. Include cooling and hydrating foods such as cucumber, zucchini, and mint. Avoid spicy, sour, and fermented foods that could aggravate Pitta. Warm, cooked foods that are slightly oily might help balance Vata.

2. Herbal Supplements: Ashwagandha and Brahmi are classical herbs that help stabilize nervous function and normalize inflammation levels. But consult with a practitioner for personalized dosages that consider your constitution.

3. Lifestyle: Regular Abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil can help ground Vata, enhancing blood circulation and potentially supporting nerve function. This should be done with gentle pressure to avoid further numbness.

4. Yoga and Pranayama: Gentle yoga and breathing exercises can aid in stabilizing Vata and channeling the body’s energies more harmoniously. Focus on grounding poses that don’t strain your body.

In sum, combining these Ayurvedic practices with immediate medical attention can create a balanced approach to your symptoms. Adjustments in diet, herbs, routines can help alongside professional treatment, supporting recovery and underlying imbalances.

Elevated white blood cell counts, or leukocytosis, can be indicative of an inflammatory response or infection in the body. It’s important to address the underlying imbalance for complete healing.

From a Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, this condition could be related to a vitiated Pitta dosha, which governs inflammation and metabolism. Additionally, disturbances in Vata dosha might contribute to numbness and abnormal sensations. To address these concerns, it’s crucial to maintain a balance between these doshas.

First, implementing dietary changes can be beneficial. Focus on a Pitta-pacifying diet – consume cooling foods such as cucumber, melon, and steamed green vegetables. Avoid hot, spicy, and oily foods as they can exacerbate inflammation.

Herbal remedies like Ashwagandha have anti-inflammatory properties that may help support your immune system. Take a quarter to half a teaspoon of Ashwagandha powder mixed in warm milk at night. But, ensure this aligns with your dietary habits.

Improving Agni, your digestive fire, is crucial too. Drink warm ginger tea to enhance digestion and reduce any ama (toxins). Use fresh ginger slices in hot water and drink it half an hour before meals to stimulate digestion.

Practicing yoga and pranayama can aid in supporting circulation and calming the nervous system. Include Vata-pacifying asanas like cat-cow pose and child’s pose into your routine.

Given the serious nature of your symptoms, it’s essential to consult a healthcare professional. Numbness and spasms could indicate underlying issues that might require immediate medical attention. Ensuring you address these symptoms with a practitioner is crucial for thorough treatment and safety.
