After oral cancer surgery and radiation, dry mouth and swallowing difficulty are common due to reduced saliva and tissue stiffness. Improvement is possible with regular care. Do this: Take soft, moist, semi-solid food (khichdi, dal, soups, porridge) Add ghee or a little oil in food to make swallowing easier Take small bites and chew slowly Sip warm water or warm liquids along with meals Keep mouth moist, do not let it become dry Do gentle mouth and tongue movements daily to improve flexibility Diet: Prefer warm, soft, easy-to-swallow food Avoid dry foods like plain rice, roti without ghee Avoid spicy, very hot, and rough foods Lifestyle: Maintain good hydration throughout the day Avoid alcohol, smoking, and very dry foods Medicines: Yashtimadhu churna 1 gram 2–3 times daily with honey (for soothing) Shatavari churna 3 grams twice daily with milk Brahmi vati 1 tablet twice daily after food Apply: Glycerin or ghee lightly inside mouth to reduce dryness This helps improve lubrication, reduce dryness, and make swallowing easier gradually. Recovery is slow in such cases, but regular care gives improvement. Continue follow-up with your doctor if swallowing worsens. For personalised support and diet planning, you can consult me.

Hello, It is good to know that, you are taking pureed food, which is ideal. Please consistent in hydration, which is very important. If you are able to gargle, the you can do gargling with diluted TRIPHALA tea. The following medicine will help a bit to address fatigue, if any and also if there is any dryness in the mouth: 1. Drakshadi lehyam 1 tsp to be chewed follwoed by drinking a cup of hot milk once a day after lunch. Take care, Kind regards.
