These not only boost digestion but also help prevent bloating. Chewing a small slice of fresh ginger with a sprinkle of salt before meals can kickstart your digestive juices. Also, regularly drinking warm water or herbal teas, as you’re already doing, is excellent, just avoid cold or iced beverages as they can diminish agni.

1. Eat Warm, Cooked Foods: You mentioned already trying some dietary changes; focus on warm, cooked meals rather tha raw foods, which can dampen digestive fire. Soups, stews, and freshly cooked vegetables are ideal. Rice and whole grains can provide gentle nourishment without overtaxing your digestion.

2. Spices to Stimulate Agni: Introduce spices like cumin, coriander, fenugreek, fennel, and asafetida (hing) into your meals. These herbs stimulate digestive enzymes and help to ignite agni. You can dry roast them lightly and sprinkle over your food.

3. Ginger Tea: Continue with ginger, it is excellent for digestive fire. A slice of fresh ginger soaked in a little lemon juice and a pinch of salt can be chewed a few minutes before meals to stimulate digestion.

4. Regular Meal Times: Eating at the same time every day helps regulate agni. There’s wisdom in having your biggest meal between 12 pm and 2 pm when the body’s enzymatic processes are most robust.
