Mummy sometimes I have very hard stomach pain and after sometime it will get disrupt what should I do

The sporadic hard stomach pain you’re experiencing could result from various underlying factors, each unique to your prakriti, or innate body constitution, according to Ayurveda. While temporary relief is a sign the pain isn’t constant, it’s crucial to address the root cause for long-term well-being.

Firstly, ensure your diet is balanced, as an unstable agni, or digestive fire, might be at play. If you’ve identified any specific foods triggering your discomfort, it’s best to avoid them or consume them in moderation. Focus on warm, cooked foods that are easily digestible, such as kichadi, which helps pacify both Vata (related to gas and bloating) and Pitta doshas (associated with acidity).

Given your condition, drinking a warm herbal tea made from ginger and cardamom can soothe discomfort and stimulate digestion. Simply boil a half-inch piece of fresh ginger with a few cardamom pods in a cup of water, strain it, and drink it before meals to help balance your agni.

Consider incorporating a teaspoon of cumin seeds with a pinch of hing (asafetida) in your meals. Cumin aids digestion and reduces bloating, while hing helps with gas control.

Regular self-massage with warm sesame oil, especially focusing on your abdomen, can calm Vata dosha and relieve tension. Perform this before taking a warm bath—allowing for better relaxation and absorption.

In terms of lifestyle, ensure you’re getting ample rest and managing stress levels, as both can exacerbate stomach pain. Practicing yoga asanas like Cat-Cow stretch and Child’s Pose aids digestion by gently massaging and stretching the abdominal area.

However, if the pain persist or worsens, it’s essential to consult a healthcare professional to rule out serious conditions. Timely medical attention is vital if symptoms are severe or unpredictable. While Ayurveda encourages natural healing, it’s important to harmonize it with conventional medicine when necessary to ensure your health and safety.
