It seems like managing your high blood sugar levels, especially given that your HbA1c is 269, is indeed challenging, and the burning sensation in your legs can be unsettling. In Ayurveda, we consider high blood sugar a result of imbalances in the body’s Doshas, particularly with Pitta and Kapha types. The first step is focusing on your diet, which plays a crucial role.

It’s advisable to avoid foods that increase Kapha and Pitta such as heavy, oily, and spicy foods. Include more bitter and astringent foods like leafy greens, fenugreek, and karela (bitter gourd). These can help in regulating blood sugar levels. Consuming a decoction made from fenugreek seeds, (10 gm) daily soaked overnight in a glass of water can be beneficial. Drink it on an empty stomach each morning.

Regular physical activity is essential. A simple brisk walk of 30-minutes daily can enhance insulin sensitivity and improve blood circulation, which might also ease the burning sensation in your legs. Incorporating practices like yoga and pranayama can also balance the body’s energy and lower stress levels, which in turn can help with blood sugar control.

Leg discomfort could be linked to diabetic neuropathy. Ayurveda suggests applying warm mustard or sesame oil mixed with a pinch of dried ginger powder to your legs before bathing. This practice can help soothe the nerves and improve circulation.

I strongly suggest you to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to work out a personalized treatment plan because sustained high blood sugar levels require careful attention. And please continue your current medical advice. In cases where symptoms persist or worsen, immediate medical attention is essential as unmanaged high blood sugars and neuropathy can lead to serious complications.
