You are experiencing a combination of Vata and Pitta imbalances, commonly associated with your joint and skin issues. For arthritis and muscle pain, I would recommend external application of warm Mahanarayan oil to affected areas. Gently massage it in a circular motion during the early morning or before bed. This oil helps alleviate Vata-related discomfort and improves joint flexibility. Considering the herniated discs, physical therapies such as gentle Asanas, like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) can help maintain spine health and ease pain. Limit to those poses that don’t strain your back further.
For managing high uric acid, avoid purine-rich foods like red meat and excessive legumes intake. Opt for a diet favoring fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly options like zucchini, cucumber, and watermelon; they assist in flushing toxins, aiding kidney function. Proper hydration with warm water is essential to support the kidneys.
Chronic sinusitis could benefit from Nasya therapy—administer a few drops of Anu oil in each nostril before bed and perform steam inhalation with eucalyptus oil to clear nasal passages. Ensure a daily regimen of steam inhalation for ease breathing.
Eczema and psoriasis are hyperactive Pitta conditions. Apply coconut oil or use a paste of neem leaves and turmeric topically, reducing inflammation and soothing irritation. These applications should be made post-bath when skin’s absorbed moisture.
Adopting yoga practices, maintaining daily routine, Dinacharya, including adequate sleep and stress management techniques such as meditation can mutually promote balance. However, given your various conditions, collaborate with a health professional knowledgeable in Ayurveda and modern medicine. Moderation cultivated care can reconcile these discomforts, enhance well-being.
Managing multiple health issues requires a holistic approach, connecting your symptoms to their underlying causes. In your case, with arthritis, herniated discs, muscle pain, elevated uric acid, kidney issues, and sinusitis, a combination of specific dietary, lifestyle, and herbal measures may help address these.
For arthritis, dietary modifications focusing on reducing inflammation can aid. You should incorporate more anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric (curcuma longa) and ginger (zingiber officinale) into your meals. A warm golden milk, combining a pinch of turmeric with milk or a milk substitute, helps to reduce joint pain when consumed once a day.
With muscle pain and herniated discs, ashwagandha (withania somnifera), known for its adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory properties, might support muscle function. You can have ashwagandha powder in warm milk or water daily, helping to ease discomfort.
Elevated uric acid levels can benefit from the consumption of coriander (coriandrum sativum) water. Soak a tablespoon of coriander seeds overnight and drink the water in the morning. This can assist in flushing out excess uric acid.
For sinusitis, steam inhalation using eucalyptus oil can provide relief. The traditional practice of nasya—administering medicated oils into the nostrils—helps clear sinuses, but should be approached cautiously and ideally under guidance if possible.
Addressing eczema and psoriasis, a daily application of neem (azadirachta indica) oil on affected areas may improve skin health. Ensure to patch test first.
Given your moderate kidney function and history of workplace accidents, it’s essential to have regular medical evaluations. This includes oversight on any new regimen, ensuring no contraindications exist with ongoing treatments.
