Agar balgam purana hai, to kitne din mein thik hoga ye uske karan par nirbhar karta hai. Kuch logon mein 2–6 hafton mein sudhar dikhta hai. Take Sitopaladi Churna 3 g + Talisadi Churna 3 g, din mein 2 baar shahad ke saath. Yashtimadhu Churna 2 g, din mein 2 baar. Garam pani sip-sip karke piyen. Thandi cheezein, dahi, ice cream aur cold drinks se parhez karein.

Ek Ayurvedic chikitsak (doctor) ke drishtikon se agar dekha jaye, toh aapka yeh prayog kapha dosha (balagam) ko door karne ke liye ek achha vichar hai, lekin isko lene ke tarike aur iske asar karne ke samay ko thoda samajhna zaroori hai. •Ayurveda mein Methi Dana (Fenugreek) ko ushna (garm), tikta-katu (kadva-teekha) aur kapha-vata nashak mana gaya hai. Wahi Amla Churna (Indian Gooseberry) rasaayan hai, jo shareer ki immunity badhata hai aur kapha ko santulit karta hai. Aapke is prayog aur sawal ka vistrit vishleshan niche diya gaya hai: 1. Kya 30-minute ke antral (gap) mein lena sahi hai? ••Nahi, is tarike mein thoda badlav karne ki zaroori hai. •Methi dana aur Amla churna ko 30-30 minute ke gap par alag-alag lene ki jagah, inka upayog sahi tarike aur sahi samay par karna zyada prabhavi (effective) hoga: ••Methi Dana: Isko lene ka sabse behtareen tarika hai ki aap 1 chammach methi dana ko raat bhar 1 glass pani mein bhigo kar rakhein. Subah khali pet us pani ko thoda garm karke piyein aur methi ke daano ko chaba kar kha lein. ••Amla Churna: Amla churna (aadha se ek chammach) ko aap subah methi ke pani ke lagbhag 1 ghante baad gungune pani ya thode se shahad (honey) ke sath le sakte hain. Shahad swabhav se lekhana (scraping) karne wala hota hai, jo balagam ko pighla kar nikalne mein madad karta hai. 2. Balagam kitne dino mein nikal jayega? Ayurveda mein koi bhi dawa jad se kaam karti hai, isliye ismein thoda samay lagta hai. Samay sima: Agar aapka balagam naya hai (acute cough), toh 7 se 14 dino mein aapko kaafi aaram mil jayega. Agar yeh samasya purani (chronic) hai, toh isse poori tarah theek hone mein 3 se 4 hafte (21-30 din) lag sakte hain. ••Dhyan dein: 1 mahine se zyada lagatar methi dana ka sevan bina doctor ki salah ke na karein, kyunki iski prakriti garm hoti hai. Pro-Tips (Ayurvedic Sujhav) ••Koshna Jala (Gunguna Pani): Jab tak shareer mein balagam hai, tab tak sirf aur sirf gunguna pani hi piyein. Yeh gale aur fefrron mein jame kapha ko pighlane ka kaam karta hai. •Aahar par dhyan: Is dauran dahi (curd), chawal, thandi cheezein (ice cream, freeze ka pani), urad dal, aur zyada meethi ya tali-bhuni cheezon se parhez karein. Yeh sab shareer mein kapha (balagam) ko badhati hain. ••Ek behtar vikalp: Agar balagam bahut zyada jama hai, toh aap Sitopaladi Churna ya Trikatu Churna ko shahad ke sath lene par vichar kar sakti hain, jo balagam ke liye aushadhi ki tarah kaam karte hain

आयुर्वेद में बलगम (कफ) को केवल बाहर निकालना ही उद्देश्य नहीं होता, बल्कि कफ बनने के मूल कारण को दूर करना भी आवश्यक माना जाता है। यदि बार-बार कफ बनता है, तो इसका अर्थ है कि शरीर में कफ दोष और आम (अधपचे भोजन से बने विषैले तत्व) का संचय हो रहा है। क्या मेथी दाना और आंवला चूर्ण लेना सही है? हाँ, सामान्यतः मेथी दाना और आंवला चूर्ण का सेवन कफ प्रवृत्ति वाले व्यक्तियों के लिए लाभकारी हो सकता है। मेथी दाना कफ को पतला करने में सहायता करता है। पाचन अग्नि को प्रबल करता है। शरीर में जमा आम को कम करने में सहायक होता है। गले और श्वसन मार्ग में जमे कफ को ढीला करने में मदद कर सकता है। आंवला चूर्ण रसायन (Rejuvenative) माना जाता है। रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता बढ़ाता है। पाचन को संतुलित करता है। बार-बार होने वाले कफ विकारों में सहायक हो सकता है। कफ कितने दिनों में निकलेगा? यह व्यक्ति की प्रकृति, बीमारी की अवधि और जीवनशैली पर निर्भर करता है। यदि समस्या नई है तो 2–4 सप्ताह में सुधार दिख सकता है। यदि कई महीनों या वर्षों से कफ जमा है, तो 1–3 महीने या उससे अधिक समय लग सकता है। केवल औषधि लेने से नहीं, बल्कि उचित आहार-विहार से भी लाभ मिलता है। कफ कम करने के लिए आयुर्वेदिक दिनचर्या सुबह उठते ही 1–2 गिलास गुनगुना पानी पिएं। 15–20 मिनट टहलें। भाप (Steam inhalation) ले सकती हैं यदि छाती या गले में कफ अधिक हो। दिनभर केवल गुनगुना या हल्का गर्म पानी पिएं। भोजन में अदरक, जीरा, काली मिर्च, हल्दी का उपयोग करें। भोजन समय पर करें। रात्रि सोने से 2–3 घंटे पहले भोजन कर लें। रात में दही, ठंडा दूध, आइसक्रीम और ठंडी चीजें न लें। कफ बढ़ाने वाले खाद्य पदार्थ इनका सेवन कम करें: दही (विशेषकर रात में) आइसक्रीम कोल्ड ड्रिंक्स फ्रिज का पानी मिठाइयाँ मैदा से बनी चीजें तले हुए पदार्थ अत्यधिक केले और भारी भोजन कफ कम करने वाले खाद्य पदार्थ अदरक तुलसी काली मिर्च हल्दी लहसुन मूंग दाल पुराना जौ और बाजरा गुनगुना पानी आयुर्वेदिक दृष्टि से उपयोगी घरेलू उपाय तुलसी-अदरक-काली मिर्च का काढ़ा 5–7 तुलसी पत्ते 1 छोटा टुकड़ा अदरक 2–3 काली मिर्च इनको पानी में उबालकर दिन में 1–2 बार लें।
