Your daughter’s symptoms suggest an Atopic tendency (eczema + allergic rhinitis) which in Ayurveda is commonly related to Vata–Pitta imbalance with Rakta dushti (skin hypersensitivity). Since it is present from childhood, treatment should focus on long-term skin nourishment and allergy control, not only temporary relief. About Vidanga Vidanga is mainly used for parasites and toxin cleansing. It is not the primary medicine for chronic eczema, and in some children it may increase dryness if taken unnecessarily. So, avoid giving it regularly Ayurvedic Remedies Internal Support Gandhak Rasayan – 1 tablet twice daily after food Khadirarishta – 10–15 ml with equal water after meals Haridra Khanda – 1 tsp twice daily Helpful for itching, allergies, sneezing, and skin inflammation External Care Apply virgin coconut oil or Neem oil mixed with coconut oil on affected areas Avoid harsh soaps, hot water, and frequent scratching Use mild cotton clothing Diet Advice Avoid triggers like: Packaged foods, bakery items, excess curd, cold drinks, very spicy food Include: Warm homemade meals, ghee, turmeric milk, seasonal fruits, adequate hydration Lifestyle Keep nails trimmed to reduce scratching injury Morning sunlight exposure and good sleep help immunity and skin healing
Long-term eczema with morning sneezing and dry skin suggests an allergic tendency with skin sensitivity. Main focus should be reducing triggers and improving skin barrier. Avoid very hot baths, harsh soaps, packaged foods, and identify food triggers if any. Apply plain coconut oil or gentle moisturizer regularly to keep skin hydrated. Regarding Vidanga: I would not suggest starting it routinely for a 14-year-old eczema case without proper assessment, as it is not usually the first choice here. Haridra Khanda – 1 tsp twice daily after food Mahamanjisthadi kwath – 10 ml with equal water twice daily Kumari gel/coconut oil – local application on dry areas Keep nails short to reduce scratching during flare-ups.
