Has Anyone Tried Patanjali Products for Psoriasis Treatment? Need Honest Feedback - #1317

Matthew

I’ve been battling psoriasis for years now — mostly on my scalp and elbows. The itching and flaking gets so bad sometimes that it’s hard to go out without feeling self-conscious. I’ve tried steroid creams and even UV light therapy, but nothing seems to provide long-lasting relief. Recently, I came across Patanjali products that claim to help with psoriasis, like Divya Kayakalp Vati and Patanjali Neem Ghan Vati. Has anyone had success using these for psoriasis treatment? Did they help reduce the flare-ups or scaling? Also, how long did it take to see any real improvement, and are there any side effects I should watch out for? I’m really looking for a natural alternative, and would love to hear any advice or real experiences from those who’ve tried Patanjali’s Ayurvedic approach for skin issues.

As an Ayurveda doctor, I understand your struggle with psoriasis, which is often a result of imbalanced doshas, particularly Pitta and Vata. Patanjali’s Divya Kayakalp Vati and Neem Ghan Vati are known to have therapeutic benefits in managing skin conditions like psoriasis. These products contain natural ingredients like Neem, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, and herbs that support detoxification and skin regeneration. Many people have found relief from itching, scaling, and inflammation after using these formulations consistently. However, the timeline for noticeable improvement can vary, with some seeing results within a few weeks, while others may need a couple of months. It’s important to note that individual responses to herbal remedies differ, and side effects like mild digestive discomfort or allergic reactions can occasionally occur, especially if you are sensitive to certain herbs. It is advisable to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting these products to ensure they are suitable for your specific condition and constitution.

I hear you, psoriasis can be so tough to manage, right?! As an Ayurvedic doc, I’m familiar with Patanjali’s products. Many folks ask about them, especially since they’re quite accessible and marketed well. They can be part of an approach, but here’s the thing — Ayurveda really focuses on personalized treatment, looking at your unique ‘prakriti’ or constitution, your ‘doshas’ and ‘agni’, all of which might be outta balance.

Let’s talk a bit about those Patanjali products. Divya Kayakalp Vati and Neem Ghan Vati are popular. Kayakalp Vati is known for skin issues, but people respond differently: some see changes, others not so much. Neem is great generally for purifying the blood, which helps detoxify the skin. It’s honestly not a quick fix though; natural treatments take patience and dedication.

Realistically, a month or two might give you a better sense if they’re working for you. Side effects? Generally, they’re mild, but digestive issues could occur, especially if your ‘agni’ is a bit sluggish. Maybe start slowly, see how your body reacts.

Beyond products, consider diet and routine, which in Ayurveda, play a massive role in managing conditions like psoriasis. Avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods. Include veggies with bitter tastes (like spinach and kale) to balance Pitta and cleanse the liver. Drink plenty of warm water to help flush out toxins, skip the cold drinks and foods!

Stress can be a real trigger, I know — so perhaps integrate meditation or some light yoga into your daily routine. Ayurvedic herbs like Turmeric and Guduchi can be soothing too, but I’d shoot for a consultation with a trained practitioner to dig into your specific dosha imbalance. Could save you a lot of trial and error.

Remember, incidental flare-ups after starting new herbs or remedies don’t always mean they’re not working. But if you’re not seeing gradual improvement, definitely think about tweaking your approach.

Lastly, whatever route you choose, don’t drop any prescribed medications without checking with a healthcare professional. Your comfort and safety come first!
