Facial hairs are due to harmonal imbalance as you are already dealing with pcos, I would suggest once to get thyroid profile and sugar levels … Shatavari churna- Ashwagandha churna- 1/4 th tsp with warm milk at night Besan+ turmeric + milk-make a paste and apply Avoid oily fried processed sweet foods Include seeds in your diet

Addressing excessive and fast-growing facial hair from an Ayurvedic perspective involves understanding your unique dosha balance and the underlying factors that might be contributing to this issue. In Ayurveda, such signs could indicate a potential imbalance in the hormonal system, often linked to an aggravated Pitta dosha, sometimes combined with Kapha.

Firstly, try focusing on a pacifying Pitta-Kapha diet. This would mean avoiding too spicy, greasy, or processed foods. Instead, incorporate more cooling, astringent, and bitter foods, such as leafy greens, cucumbers, and lentils. Caffeine and alcohol can also exacerbate Pitta, so reducing or eliminating these might help too.

Herbs can play an essential role in balancing your hormones naturally. Spearmint tea is known to have an anti-androgenic effect that might reduce hair growth over time. Drink a cup of spearmint tea once or twice a day and observe any changes. Ingredients like Turmeric and Amla (Indian Gooseberry) are also useful as they work to cleanse the blood and detoxify the body, helping in reducing Pitta and thus, may slow down hair growth.

Daily routines or ‘Dinacharya’ can help balance your doshas. Regular exercise, specifically yoga, can help keep your hormones in balance. Asanas like Sarvangasana and Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), practiced daily, may aid in regulating Pitta-Kapha.

Externally, consider oil massage with Kumkumadi tailam, a traditional Ayurvedic formulation, known for beauty and skin health, including potentially reducing excessive hair growth with regular use.

Lastly, it’s vital to manage stress, which can aggravate Pitta. Pranayama, or deep breathing exercises, can help maintain a calm mind. Meditation or practices like mindfulness can be beneficial in keeping stress at bay.

Remember, while these suggestions may help reduce facial hair over time, results can vary. More serious underlying issues, like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) that contributes to hirsutism, should prompt consultation with a healthcare professional or an Ayurvedic specialist for a thorough evaluation.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
