Premature greying suggests Pitta-Vata imbalance, weak liver function, nutritional deficiencies, or hereditary factors. we need to focus on internal healing, diet, and stress management along with external care. Ashwagandha -1/2 tsp with warm milk at night Triphala (½ tsp at bedtime) Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta) Juice or Powder –take with buttermilk or warm water.

Eat black sesame seeds + jaggery (1 tsp daily). Drink fresh Amla juice or consume raw Amla daily. Include ghee, soaked almonds, walnuts, dates, and coconut in your diet. Avoid spicy, fermented, and processed foods, as they worsen Pitta. Bringraj taila- scalp massage weekly twice

Receding hairline, thinning hair, and premature graying can be linked to several factors in Ayurveda, such as imbalance in doshas, especially Vata and Pitta. According to Ayurvedic principles, this condition often relates to excess heat or Pitta in your system, affecting the hair follicles and leading to early hair issues.

To address this, consider revising your diet and lifestyle. Focus on incorporating Pitta-pacifying foods. Such foods include cooling and moisturizing items like coconut, cucumbers, and sweet fruits such as melons and grapes. Minimize the intake of spicy, fried, or overly salty dishes since they increase Pitta.

Massage your scalp gently with Ayurveda-recommended oils like Bringaraj (Eclipta alba) or Amla (Indian gooseberry) oil at least 2-3 times a week. Warm the oil slightly before applying, to improve penetration into the scalp. This practice not only nourishes the scalp but also helps alleviate stress, which is a common contributor to hair loss.

Ensure you’re following a routine that enhances your hair’s health. Ayurveda strongly recommends regulating sleep patterns, with emphasis on sleeping early and waking early to cradle the body’s natural rhythms. Avoid washing hair with hot water as it can aggravate Pitta. Instead, use lukewarm to cool water.

Herbal treatments, such as decoctions made from Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) or Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), can be consumed, as they support the nervous system and help in managing stress.

Additionally, consider practicing Yoga or Pranayama daily to balance your mind and body. Techniques like Anulom Vilom can be particularly effective in balancing Pitta dosha.

Premature greying, along with thinning, often points towards insufficient blood circulation to the scalp or deficiencies. Make sure to consult a healthcare professional or a certified Ayurvedic practitioner if there’s no improvement, as personalized treatment might be necessary depending on your unique constitution and imbalance.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
