In Ayurveda, the skin’s appearance and health are closely related to the balance of doshas, toxins in the body, and digestive fire (agni). Dullness and tanning can be signs of an imbalance, most probably Pitta or Kapha. First, let’s talk about the skin concerns, specifically blackheads and dullness. Consider using a face wash that contains natural ingredients such as neem, turmeric, or sandalwood. These have cleansing properties well-suited for your described condition. An Ayurvedic brand like Himalaya or Biotique offers products infused with these herbs. Using a face wash containing turmeric may assist with glow and mild exfoliation, while neem helps clean the pores, reducing blackheads.

To enhance your skin’s glow and combat dullness, incorporate regular face masks made from fresh ingredients. A paste of besan (gram flour), turmeric, and a pinch of milk can be applied once a week to gently exfoliate and brighten your skin. Moisture is essential: apply a natural moisturizer with aloe vera or honey to keep the skin hydrated.

Moving on to hair, excessive hair fall can be linked to an aggravated Vata dosha or stressors affecting your scalp health. Check out shampoos with ingredients like bhringraj, amla, and hibiscus; these are excellent for nourishing hair and reducing hair loss. Ayvedic brands such as Khadi Natural or Kama Ayurveda offer good options. Bhringraj oil can be massaged into the scalp 1-2 times a week, leaving it on for at least an hour before washing. It not only strengthens your hair roots but also deeply nourishes them.

Additionally, assess your diet, as nutrition deeply affects both skin and hair health. Eat fresh, warm foods rich in healthy fats, proteins, and green vegetables. Keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water, as it helps flush out the toxins. Regular exercise will improve blood circulation, contributing positively to hair and skin health.

Remember to be consistent with these practices, they may take a bit of time to show a noticeable difference. Always patch-test any new product to avoid potential allergic reactions. If symptoms persist or worsen, do seek guidance from a healthcare provider or Ayurvedic practitioner.
