It sounds like you’re dealing with quite an uncomfortable skin condition that’s spreading and causing you a lot of itching. From what you describe, it indeed could be a fungal infection like ringworm, though there might be more at play given it’s not responding to conventional medicines. Ayurvedically, such skin issues often relate to imbalances in Pitta and Kapha doshas.

First, let’s look at a few home remedies that might help ease your symptoms. Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a powerful herb for skin health, known for its antifungal and antibacterial properties. You can boil neem leaves, strain the water, and use it to wash the affected areas daily. A neem oil application could also be quite beneficial, but do test it on a small area first to check for any sensitivity.

Turmeric has natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory qualities. You can make a paste with turmeric powder and water, applying it over the patches. Leave it on for about 20 minutes before washing it off gently. This should help reduce itching and inflammation.

Furthermore, ensure that you’re maintaining cleanliness and dryness in the affected areas. Fungal infections thrive in moist environments, so after bathing, make sure to thoroughly dry your skin.

Diet can influence your condition too. Eating pungent, bitter, and astringent foods can help pacify the aggravated doshas. Include foods like bitter gourd, spinach, and steamed vegetables. Try to avoid oily or too sweet foods which might worsen Kapha.

Stress can aggravate skin issues, so consider integrating meditation or deep breathing exercises into your daily routine to promote relaxation.

If symptoms persist or worsen despite these measures, it’s essential to see a healthcare provider, ideally an Ayurvedic practitioner, for a closer examination. Certain skin conditions may require more targeted treatments. Avoiding further self-medication without guidance is also recommended to prevent potential adverse effects.
