Hair root pain and issues like hairfall and premature hair whitening often suggest an imbalance within your body’s doshas, particularly Pitta and Vata. Let’s break down how you might address these concerns with a blend of diet, lifestyle, and self-care practices.

Firstly, for shampoos and oils, it’s key to choose products that align with your dosha imbalance. Natural shampoos that are sulphate and silicone-free are gentler on the scalp and hair. Look for herbal ingredients like bhringraj, hibiscus and fenugreek, which are known to support hair health.

Since you mentioned splitting ends and dryness from an oil you made, it could be too heating or drying in nature. Coconut oil can be soothing and nourishing for dry hair. You could enhance it with a few drops of essential oils like rosemary or lavender, which promote circulation and strength. Warm the oil and apply it gently at the roots and along the length of your hair once a week.

For the whitening and pain, ensure your diet supports hair health. Include foods like amla, sesame seeds, and curry leaves. Amla is particularly noteworthy for its antioxidant properties, which can help manage Pitta imbalance. Drinking aloe vera juice may also be beneficial, as it can cleanse the system and support overall health.

Maintain a consistent sleep schedule, as stress and sleeplessness can exacerbate hair issues. Regular yoga and pranayama can help manage stress levels and improve blood circulation to the scalp. Also, be gentle while combing to avoid unnecessary breakage, and consider using a wider-toothed comb.

Finally, if scalp pain is acute or worsening, consider consulting a healthcare professional. There might be an underlying issue that needs attention. Desire for instant solutions is understandable but, remember, Ayurvedic practices are gradual and work on restoring balance over time.
