Considering the symptoms you’re experiencing, it’s crucial to prioritize seeking immediate medical attention from a qualified healthcare professional, as intense symptoms like swelling, pain, and pus accumulation require thorough examination and potentially conventional medical intervention. In addition to consulting a doctor, bacterial infections or other complex conditions necessitate a professional assessment.

In terms of Ayurveda, understanding your dosha balance can provide insights into long-term care, though not a replacement for immediate medical assistance. The inflammation and pus suggest an aggravated Pitta dosha, which often leads to such skin disturbances. Cooling and soothing interventions might be beneficial post urgent care.

Dietary adjustments can potentially help manage your symptoms once any serious conditions are ruled out. Try incorporating foods that pacify Pitta, such as cooling, hydrating foods like cucumber, melon, zucchini and coconut water. Keeping spicy, oily, salty, and fermented foods to a minimum can prevent Pitta aggravation. Also, focus on drinking enough water; staying hydrated will support detoxification and overall skin health.

For potential relief of discomfort, consider herbal preparations like Aloe vera gel, which can be applied externally for a cooling effect post medical clearance of severe issues. Neem paste possesses antimicrobial properties, but again, you must ensure that any topical application is approved safe by your medical professional.

Resting is important and you want to minimize friction and irritation, so avoid tight clothing and synthetics that might compound the issue by causing additional irritation. Choose breathable, soft cotton.

Undoubtedly it’s important to consult with a dermatologist or a gynecologist who will pinpoint the exact cause of these symptoms. Striking balance and health in the vaginal area often requires a coordinated approach involving both conventional medicine and holistic practices.

Bumps and lumps in the vaginal area that accumulate pus and cause pain could likely be a condition related to folliculitis or cysts. Recurrent issues like these, which respond temporarily to steroids, highlight a deep-seated imbalance that needs addressing on a systemic level rather than only symptomatically.

From a Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, these bumps could be the result of vata and pitta imbalance leading to an aggravated condition in the skin and the blood tissues (rakta dhatu). The skin is governed by bhrajaka pitta, which when out of balance can result in inflammatory disorders. There may also be a kapha element contributing to the pus accumulation and lump formation.

One approach you can take involves dietary and lifestyle adjustments coupled with specific herbal formulations. Begin by reducing foods that increase pitta such as spicy, fried, and sour foods. Instead, focus on a diet rich in cooling and detoxifying foods like bitter vegetables (bitter gourd), greens, and pomegranate.

Topical application of neem paste or turmeric, known for their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, might help in reducing inflammation and preventing infection. Apply a paste made from these powders mixed with a few drops of clean water twice daily.

Internally, you can consider taking Triphala churna with warm water at night; this can help in cleansing and balancing the body’s eliminative pathways.

However, due to the recurring and painful nature of your condition, it is crucial to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for a detailed analysis of your doshas and to receive a personalized treatment plan. If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, please seek medical attention from a healthcare provider to rule out other conditions.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
