Yes acidity is according to Ayurveda increase ofpitta dosha , that also causes pimples. Thyroid also is vikruti of pitta dosha. Thyroid does not cause acidity, but pitta dosha vikruti causes can cause both acidity, pimples and Thyroid.

Thyroid imbalances can indeed effect various bodily functions, including your digestive health. When your thyroid is sluggish (hypothyroidism), it can potentially slow your metabolism, which can contribute to digestive issues such as slow gut motility, constipation, and in some cases, acid reflux may also arise. Now, your TSH level initially being at 7 and reducing to 4.8 indicates that thyroid function was underactive but improved somewhat. However, it’s still on the higher side, potentially contributing to continued symptoms, including changes in your hair and skin condition.

Acidity, or a hyperacidic pH, may indeed play a role in skin issues like pimples, as the excess acid in your system can create a more favorable environment for bacterial overgrowth, which may manifest as skin prblems. The connection is sometimes indirect, and diet, stress, and lifestyle play a part as well.

To manage this better, focus on a Kapha-pacifying diet (since Kapha imbalance often shows up as hypothyroidism and pimples) try to include foods that are warm, light, and easy to digest. Avoid excessively heavy, oily, and sour foods that can worsen Kapha and Pitta energies, like fried foods, cheese, and citrus fruits. Drink warm water with ginger slices to enhance your digestive fire (Agni) and support thyroid function. About 20–30 minutes of daily exercise can signifcantly boost metabolism and promote healthy digestion.

Additionally, using an Ayurvedic herbal supplement like Trikatu can support digestive fire but consult your doctor first. Also, you may try applying aloe vera or turmeric paste topically on pimples, which has soothing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Being aware of stress and finding techniques like pranayama or meditation may help regulate both digestive issues and thyoid function, by harmonizing your body’s systems. Remember to continue monitoring your thyroid levels and consult an endocrinologist along with Ayurvedic care for a holistic approach to your health concerns.

Thyroid imbalances can indeed influence a lot of systems in the body, though the link between thyroid function and acidity is indirect. An underactive thyroid, or hypothyroidism, can slow down digestion, potentially leading to issues like acidity or heartburn. This slowing down can affect Agni, the digestive fire in Ayurvedic terms, resulting in Ama, or toxins. When there’s an inadequate digestion process due to a weaker Agni, it can manifest through various symptoms, including disturbed Pitta levels which might contribute to skin issues such as pimples or rashes.

As for acidity causing pimples, excess Pitta (fire and water elements) in the body is often a culprit for skin conditions like pimples. When there’s too much acidity, it indicates an excess of Pitta, leading to inflammation or irritation on the skin, showing up as small bumps or pimples. These skin blemishes can leave scars, especially if not properly managed.

To address these, consider a few Siddha-Ayurvedic suggestions:

1. Balance Pitta: Avoid spicy, fried, and sour foods to help balance your Pitta. Include cooling foods like cucumbers, melons, and greens.

2. Support Agni: Drink warm ginger tea before meals to improve digestion and boost Agni.

3. Herbal Remedies: Try consuming a mix of Triphala and hot water before bedtime. It helps cleanse Ama and improve digestion.

4. External Application: Apply a paste of sandalwood and rose water to the face to soothe and reduce inflammation.

Monitoring and addressing thyroid imbalances with a healthcare provider is crucial. In case symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice for a comprehensive approach. The integration of Siddha-Ayurvedic practices can complement conventional treatments effectively when handled carefully.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
