Hi Harshitha as you mentioned this melasma and Hyperpigmentation are related RAKTHA as per Ayurveda. So we need Raktha purification/detoxification for this. For this detoxification you need some medicines and some mandatory dietary changes

[Please Go through a bloodtest of TSH, T3 AND T4 ]

Internally 1.Manjishtadi kwatham tab 2-0-2 before food 2.Khadirarishtam 15ml twice daily after food 3.Kaisora guggulu 1-0-1after food 4.Thriphaladi churnam 1tsp at bedtime with ½glass hot water

Externally

1.Multanimitti + Thriphaladi churnam + Manjista powder - Make paste with Rose water ,apply over the area and leave it for 20-30min, then wash it off/weekly 2-3times

2.Kumkumadi taila-take few drops and have a mild massage over the pigmented areas, leave it for 2-3hours, then wash it off/daily

***Weekly once Virechana(Purgation) with Avipathy churnam (1packet/10gm) with ½glass hot water in empty stomach followed by light diet only - this is to cleanse your body and to balance your DOSAS

Addressing melasma and hyperpigmentation involves understanding the underlying imbalance in your body. In Ayurveda, these conditions often relate to excess Pitta dosha, manifesting as skin discoloration like melasma and hyperpigmentation. Incorporating cooling and detoxifying drinks can help balance Pitta and support skin health. Here are a few suggestions you might find beneficial:

1. Coriander Seed Water: Soak a teaspoon of coriander seeds in a glass of water overnight. Strain and drink the water on an empty stomach the next morning. Coriander helps detoxify the liver, reducing excess Pitta and aiding in skin tone improvement.

2. Aloe Vera Juice: Consume a small cup of fresh aloe vera juice daily. Aloe vera has cooling properties and is known for its skin-healing benefits. Ensure the juice is fresh and devoid of any added sugar or preservatives.

3. Amla (Indian Gooseberry) Jucie: Drink half a cup of amla juice every morning. Amla is rich in vitamin C and has potent antioxidant properties that can help in reducing skin pigmentation and rejuvenating your skin.

4. Turmeric Milk: Mix a pinch of turmeric powder in a glass of warm milk, and drink it at night. Turmeric is a potent herbal remedy for reducing melasma, thanks to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

It’s equally important to maintain a Pitta-pacifying diet, avoiding spicy, sour, and oily foods. Favor sweet, bitter, and astringent tastes with a focus on fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight, as UV rays can exacerbate your condition.

Try reducing stress through Yoga or meditation to improve overall well-being. Patience and consistency are key in following these remedies as natural approaches may take some time to show results. If your condtion persists or worsens, consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitionar or dermatologist.

Melasma and hyperpigmentation on the face and neck often arise from imbalances in the body’s doshas, particularly Pitta dosha. Addressing this requires cooling and nourishing the body from within. One useful drink is aloe vera juice, which has cooling properties that can help balance Pitta. You can consume 20-30 ml of aloe vera juice with water first thing in the morning. It also aids in purifying the blood and promoting healthy skin.

Turmeric milk is another beneficial option. Turmeric has anti-inflammatory and skin-brightening properties. Mix a quarter teaspoon of turmeric powder with a glass of warm milk and drink it at night before bed. The milk will help keep your body nourished and turmeric assists in skin health.

Also, consider neem juice, as it purifies the blood and helps cleanse the liver, which is essential in managing pigmentation issues. Drink about 10 ml of neem juice with water, but only 2-3 times a week, as neem is quite potent.

Along with these, maintaining a proper hydration level is crucial. Drink plenty of water, as it aids in flushing out toxins and keeping the skin hydrated. Avoiding excessive spicy, oily, and acidic foods, and reducing sun exposure can also mitigate aggravation of Pitta.

Remember, pigmentation issues can take time to resolve, so consistency is key. However, if the discoloration is severe and persistent, it might be prudent to consult with a healthcare professional for a tailored approach.
