Ayurveda might offer a different approach to address your persistent scalp condition by looking at the body as a whole and aiming to restore balance. The redness, itchiness, and acne-like formations on your scalp could potentially be linked to an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, often associated, with inflammation and heat in the body.

Begin by focusing on a Pitta-pacifying diet. Reduce intake of hot, spicy, oily, and salty foods. Favor cooling and hydrating foods like cucumber, watermelon, and coconut water. Try to incorporate more green leafy vegetables, such as spinach and kale, that are also supportive in balancing Pitta. Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol which might exacerbate symptoms.

Cooling herbal remedies can help too. Neem powder or neem oil can be beneficial due to its anti-inflammatory properties. You can make a paste with neem powder and water, apply it directly to the scalp, and leave it for 20-30 minutes before washing with lukewarm water. Alternatively, try a scalp massage with bhringraj oil, known for its cooling and purifying effects on the scalp.

Manage stress as it can worsen Pitta imbalance. Practice yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises daily. This supports not only your physical health but mental well-being, which interconnected in Ayurvedic philosophy. Ensure adequate hydration is maintained throughout the day as it assists in flushing out toxins.

In case symptoms persist or worsen, it’s essential to seeking further professional help as Ayurveda combines well with conventional treatments when needed. Collaboration with an Ayurvedic practitioner could provide a personalized treatment plan and monitor progress over time. Remember, addressing chronic conditions often takes time and patience for noticeable improvements.

Sounds like you’ve got a pretty stubborn case of folliculitis on your hands—or rather, on your scalp. Stubborn conditions like these often signal an underlying imbalance in your body’s systems that could be approached through Siddha-Ayurvedic principles. Folliculitis could be indicative of an imbalance with your Pitta dosha, as Pitta can be aggravated by heat, stress, diet, or even the environment.

In Ayurveda, tackling such conditions involves both external and internal treatment. You might start by considering your diet and lifestyle to calm Pitta. Reduce intake of spicy, fried, and excessively salty foods, as well as caffeine and alcohol. Focus on cooling foods like cucumber, watermelon, and leafy greens. Drinking aloe vera juice could also be beneficial due to its cooling properties.

For external care, making a paste using neem leaves could help. Neem is known for its antimicrobial properties. Mix fresh neem paste with a bit of water and apply it to the scalp, allowing it to sit for 20-30 minutes before rinsing. Avoid overly hot water as it may aggravate Pitta.

Also, managing stress through practices such as yoga and meditation can be crucial since stress aggravates Pitta, intensifying symptoms.

Herbal supplements such as Guduchi or Amla could help in detoxifying the body. However, these should be taken under guidance of a qualified Ayurveda practitioner who can consider your individual constitution and any other health conditions.

If there’s no improvement, it is crucial to follow up with your healthcare provider, as chronic conditions may sometimes require other forms of interventions. Persisting symptoms should not be overlooked, and integrating the approaches with other therapies should be done carefully to ensure there are no conflicting effects.
