When dealing with combination skin, comedones, dullness, and hair fall, Ayurveda suggests a holistic approach. Your skin and hair issues, coupled with weight loss, could indicate an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. Here’s how you can address these concerns through Ayurveda:

1. Dietary Adjustments: Focus on a balanced diet that nourishes all dhatus and helps stabilize Vata and Pitta. Include foods that are rich in healthy fats like ghee, avocados, and almonds, which provide nourishment for both skin and hair. Prefer fresh, warm, and cooked meals over raw foods. Favor sweet, salty, and sour tastes to help pacify Vata.

2. Herbal Supplements: Triphala is beneficial for detoxifying the body and improving skin health. You may take a teaspoon of Triphala powder in warm water before bed. Brahmi or Ashwagandha can support hair health and help manage stress which often contributes to hair fall.

3. Routine changes: Establish a daily routine that fosters balance. Wake up early, eat meals at regular intervals, and ensure adequate sleep. A regular sleep pattern can support better skin and hair health.

4. Topical Applications: For your skin, consider applying a paste of turmeric and honey on affected areas to cleanse and reduce inflammation. For hair, massage your scalp with warm coconut or sesame oil before washing your hair. This helps improve circulation and strengthens the roots.

5. Hydration and exercise: Drink plenty of lukewarm water throughout the day, which aids digestion and keeps your skin hydrated. Moderate exercise like yoga or brisk walking can promote better circulation.

6. Stress Management: Stress can exacerbate skin and hair issues. Practice meditation or pranayama (breathing exercises) daily to calm your mind and reduce stress levels.

Since you’re noticing weight loss alongside these symptoms, it might be worth seeking an in-depth consultation with an Ayurvedic practicioner for a tailored treatment plan and review any underlying health concerns. If acute symptoms persist, consider consulting a healthcare professional for further examination.

Based on what you’ve described, it looks like an imbalance in your doshas, likely involving pitta and vata. Here’s what can help you restore equilibrium.

For your skin, focus on maintaining a balance in your vata and pitta energies. Comedones and dullness are often linked to increased pitta. Consider applying a paste made of sandalwood powder and rosewater. Use this as a gentle face mask twice a week—it helps to cool the skin and reduce irritation. Follow-up with a light application of coconut oil as it’s soothing and moisturizing.

Your body weight loss and hair fall could be interconnected, possibly hinting at vata imbalance. To nourish your hair, try massaging your scalp twice a week with bhringraj oil or amla oil. These oils strengthen hair roots and enhance growth. Include foods that are warm, moist, and slightly oily in your diet, like cooked vegetables, ghee, and nuts, to pacify vata.

Additionally, practicing daily abhyanga (self-massage) with sesame oil can help in balancing vata and maintaining body weight. Warm the oil slightly before application for better absorption. Drink herbal teas with ingredients like brahmi and tulsi to soothe your pitta and support hair health.

Your dietary intake might need enhancing for proper nourishment. Include whole grains, dairy, and green leafy vegetables to support your dhatus (tissues). And ensure your digestive agni (digestive/metabolic fire) is stable by avoiding heavy, oily, and very spicy foods, which can upset pitta and vata.

If hair fall continues at this rate or you notice further weight loss, it’s crucial to consult a healthcare professional to rule out underlying conditions. Keeping your body and mind aligned with these simple practices should aid in restoring your skin and hair health gradually.
