I am really confused about how to apply henna to hair properly. A few weeks ago, I went on this natural hair care journey because my hair has been super dry and brittle. I heard so many good things about henna, how it strengthens and adds a vibrant color. I ordered this organic henna powder and it arrived last night! But now that I have it, I'm not sure what to do next. Do I mix it with water or something else? I read somewhere that you can add tea or even essential oils, but that sounds complicated. Also, my sister started using henna before, and she said that applying it was a messy process — like she had stains everywhere! I'm a bit of a neat freak, haha. How to apply henna to hair without making a huge mess? I have long hair, and I'm worried about getting it everywhere, or maybe not getting enough on the roots. I've seen videos showing these amazing transformations but they never really talk about the process. And like, how long do I leave it on? Do I need to do a patch test?
