is alsi good for hair - #39608
I am struggling with my hair lately and just need some advice. I’ve been dealing with this hair thinning issue for a while now, and it’s really getting to me. I’ve tried a bunch of different products, you know, from shampoos to oils, but nothing seems to work. Someone recently told me that alsi is good for hair, but I don’t know much about it. Like, what makes alsi good for hair? I’ve heard it’s packed with omega-3s and stuff, but im kinda skeptical about how much that really helps. I mean, I don’t want to waste my time or money on something that might not even work! I've tried flaxseed gel, which I think is alsi too, but I don’t see a huge difference. Is alsi good for hair for real, or is it just another trendy thing? Also curious if there’s a certain way I should be using alsi - should I eat it, or apply it topically? I don’t want to mess it up. My hair has become kinda dry and frizzy as well, and if alsi is good for hair, maybe it could help with that too? Do u think it might work for me, or should I keep looking for other options? Any tips would really be appreciated! Thanks!

Alsi, known as flaxseed in English, does indeed have some benefits for hair health. It’s lauded in Ayurveda due to its rich content of essential fatty acids, particularly omega-3s, but also lignans and fibers. These components are useful as they help to nourish and strengthen hair from within. Omega-3 fatty acids, in particular, are key to promoting hair growth and can aid in reducing scalp inflammation which is sometimes a reason for hair thinning.
For addressing dry and frizzy hair, alsi can be beneficial due its emollient properties as well. You can use alis or flaxseed in a couple of different ways for hair care. Consuming a tablespoon of ground flaxseed daily can internally nourish your doshas, particularly balancing the vata element, which is often related to dryness in the body. Ensuring a balanced diet with a regular intake of these seeds can positively impact the health of your hair.
Additionally, you might consider using flaxseed gel topically. To prepare this, boil flaxseeds in water until the water thickens, strain it, and use the resultant gel as a natural styling product & conditioner. This gel acts as a natural moisturizer, giving your hair shine and reducing frizz. Apply it post-wash when hair is about damp for best results. However, results can vary based on individual constitutional imbalances and it takes consistency to see noticeable improvement.
If alsi still doesn’t seem effective, consider looking at your overall lifestyle queries. Inadequate sleep, high stress, and poor diet can exacerbate vata imbalance, leading to issues like dry and thinning hair. Incorporating more grounding practices such as oil massages with sesame oil or coconut oil, and ensuring proper hydraton and nourishment can aid your efforts. It’s all about finding balance.
In summary, while alsi could indeed be beneficial, it might not be overnight miracle. Allow some weeks to determine if it works for you, but also examine other contributory factors such as lifestyle and diet in comprehensive wholistic manner.
