डॉक्टरों की प्रतिक्रियाएं

Seborrheic dermatitis with accompanying hair loss, greasy scalp, and dandruff, hints at an imbalance in Kapha and Pitta doshas. An immediate step is to adopt a diet suitable for balancing these doshas. Reduce intake of heavy, oily, and spicy foods. Favor a cooling diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Emphasize lighter foods, and include green leafy vegetables which can help balance Pitta.

Ensuring proper scalp care practices is essential. Use an herbal hair cleanser containing neem or aloe vera. These herbs have natural soothing and anti-microbial properties suitable for seborrheic conditions. Apply minimalist, gentle cleanser just twice a week to not over strip the scalp’s natural oils. Avoid commercial shampoos with harsh chemicals as they may worsen the condition.

Daily scalp massage using lukewarm coconut oil with a few drops of tea tree essential oil is beneficial. This helps in controlling excessive sebum production and promotes blood circulation, fostering hair health. Leave the oil for an hour before washing it off. Regular application of this oil can refresh the scalp.

Avoid overwashing your hair. This can strip the natural oils which may result in increased oil production. On alternate days, rinse your hair with water to keep it fresh without washing thoroughly.

Include yoga and pranayama in your routine to reduce stress which may exacerbate your symptoms. Practices such as Jaladhauti can help in detoxifying the body reducing oil secretion.

You might also find herbal supplements like Triphala and Manjistha helpful as they support detoxification. But first consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized advice, especially if considering herbal supplements. Always adjust dietary and lifestyle recommendations to suit your own life, and consult with healthcare providers when necessary.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
