Have been having hair fall since many years. Also taking thyronorm 62.5 mg every day. Also have osteoarthritis. Kindly advise. Age 63 years

Regarding Ayurveda, focus on pacifying Vata dosha, as it is often associated with hair fall and osteoartharitis conditions especially at your age. Include more warm, unctuous (oily), and nutritious meals. Foods like ghee, almonds, sesame seeds and green leafy veggies can be beneficial. Turmeric and ginger are also excellent due to their anti-inflammatory properties, try incorporating them daily.

For hair health, a scalp massage with oils like bhringraj oil, or coconut oil infused with hibiscus flowers, can help strengthen hair roots and promote growth. Do this at least twice a week. Consider using a mild, natural shampoo, avoiding those with harsh chemicals.

To enhance absorption of nutritions and improve joint health, incorporate Triphala, an excellent remedy for aiding digestion and cleansing toxins. You can take 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder nightly with warm water. Monitor your diet ensuring you’re getting sufficient calcium and vitamin D, which are crucial for bone health.

Managing stress is essential as it impacts both hair health and joint conditions. Breathing exercises, meditation, or light walking can be effective in reducing stress levels. Keeping consistency in these practices will significantly help.
