For hair thinning and baldness, especially with a history of using minoxidil, Ayurveda offers natural and holistic solutions that focus on improving circulation to the scalp, strengthening hair follicles, and addressing any internal imbalances. You can try using Bhringraj oil, which is known to promote hair growth, strengthen hair roots, and prevent further hair loss. Massaging the scalp with warm oils like Amla oil, Brahmi oil, or a blend of coconut oil with a few drops of essential oils like rosemary or lavender can improve blood circulation and nourish the scalp. Internally, herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Brahmi support hair health by balancing hormones and reducing stress, which is a common trigger for hair loss. Taking a daily dose of Triphala or amla powder can also boost hair health by detoxifying the body and promoting hair growth. In addition, focus on a protein-rich diet that includes foods like lentils, nuts, seeds, and leafy greens to support hair strength. Managing stress through yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathing exercises) can also be beneficial in addressing the root causes of hair thinning. For long-term results, it’s best to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to create a personalized treatment plan.

Namaste Vishal Ji,

For hair thinning and balding, Ayurveda focuses on nourishing the scalp, balancing Pitta dosha, and strengthening hair roots.

Treatment: Herbal Medicines: Bhringraj Churna: 1 tsp with water twice daily to strengthen hair roots. Amla Rasayana: 1 tsp daily to nourish hair and reduce Pitta. Triphala Churna: 1 tsp at night with warm water to detoxify. External Application: Bhringraj Taila or Neelibhringadi Taila: Massage on scalp 3-4 times a week. Apply Aloe Vera Gel on the scalp for hydration and regrowth. Diet: Include ghee, amla, sesame seeds, curry leaves, and coconut water. Avoid spicy, oily, and junk food. Lifestyle: Practice Shirshasana (headstand) and Pranayama like Anulom-Vilom. Avoid stress and excessive use of chemical-based products. Consistency with this routine will promote regrowth and improve hair quality.

Ah, thinning and balding issues, they’re definitely a frustration. First, let’s dig a bit into Ayurveda for some solutions. Thinning hair often ties back to imbalances in the doshas, particularly Pitta. You might wanna start by focusing on calming Pitta. Less spicy, oily foods will help here. Aim to include cooling foods – cucumbers, leafy greens, and coconut water, you know those kinda things.

Got stress? It’s a major culprit too. Meditation or simple breathing exercises - pranayama, if you’re into that - can do wonders for chilling your mind. Healthy scalp, happy hair as they say. Massaging your scalp is super beneficial. You can use bhringraj oil, known traditionally to support hair health, or a coconut oil if that’s easier. Warm it slightly, massage gently, tpois it’ll be a relaxing ritual for sure.

But let’s get practical, you want details. Use the oil twice a week before bedtime. That gives it time to penetrate the roots, wash it off the next morning with a mild herbal shampoo. If bhringraj’s hard to find, even plain ole coconut oil does well, it’s cooling after all.

On top of this, a rich diet is basics, amla and sesame seeds can nourish from within, think of 'em as hair “superfood.” And reduce intake of processed foods or stuff that mess with your digestion - it links back to healthy hair growth.

Now, supplements don’t replace a balance but, you might consider Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha or Brahmi. They’re restorative, known for promoting health and vitality. But it’s best you check with a practitioner, especially if you taking other stuff.

Finally, be patient, hair regrowth is a marathon not a sprint, you know? All these changes might not show instant results but over time, as your body balances, you’ll notice a difference. And, hey, bald can be beautiful too – keep that confidence up!
